The Impact of Achievements & Trophies -- Recognition that Motivates

Life is short, art long, opportunity fleeting, experience treacherous, judgment difficult.

Hypocrites

Hypocrites (450-339 BC) was an influential Greek philosopher of the fifth century B.C. and the founder of the Hypocritical school of philosophy. He was famous for devoting his entire life to preaching a philosophy of the virtues of honesty, humility, sobriety, and chastity, while at the same time practicing the virtues of deceit, arrogance, lechery and dishonesty. If he were alive today there is absolutely no doubt that he would have espoused the position that every Achievement and Trophy should be treated as a sacrosanct and inviolate badge of honor to be pursued and unlocked only legitimately, all the while boosting Achievements with hid buds... He would have done this because of the inherent value of the Achievement and because it is one of the core elements of gaming that increasingly is being taken seriously by games the world over.
