There are 4 different endings in the game which are unlocked depending on how many bosses you defeated in the game.
Unlock Ending 1:
Defeat ALL the bosses.
Unlock Ending 2:
2 bosses escape.
Unlock Ending 3:
3 bosses escape.
Unlock Ending 4:
ALL the bosses escape (including the final boss).
The following 4 endings are unlocked depending on your performance in the game.
Unlock Ending 1:
Defeat all the bosses
Unlock Ending 2:
Let 2 bosses escape and defeat the others
Unlock Ending 3:
Let 3 bosses escape and defeat the others
Unlock Ending 4:
Let ALL the bosses escape including the last boss
