Angry Birds Journey Cheats, Tips Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why you should aim for weak spots and using the Anger Meter wisely.

Unlock and Familiarize yourself with the Different Birds

It is important that you become familiar with the different birds in Angry Birds Journey as each of them has unique properties and skills that will make them useful for specific situations. Below is a list of the six birds in the game and includes when they become unlocked and what their abilities are.

Chuck

Chuck is a triangular yellow bird that is provided via the tutorial. This bird will always attack by pausing at the targeted location and then horizontally cutting through all blocks with his quickness.

Bomb

Bomb is a round black bird that explodes on contact dealing damage in a radius around the point where he made contact. When combined with the Anger Meter's boost, Bomb's explosion radius is increased by more than double its original size. Bomb becomes unlocked when you beat level 4.

Silver

Silver is a small bird that is silver in color. Her ability is similar to Chuck except she cuts through everything in a vertical manner, downwards from the point where she makes contact. Silver becomes unlocked when you beat level 9.

Stella

Stella is another small bird that is pink in color. Upon making contact, Stella deploys a small bubble around her that captures all blocks in her vicinity, and then launches them upwards and away from her. She is the most effective when given the Anger Meter's boost which lends her a massive imploding shield that expands to and destroys several structures at a time. Stella is unlocked when you beat level 17.

Red

The last bird unlocked in Angry Birds Journey is Red, the iconic maroon colored bird of the franchise. This bird can quickly dart across the field from the point of impact, sweeping everything in his way. He performs his move multiple times in a single turn and does so in all directions. Red becomes unlocked at level 28.

Structures are Not the Same

The structures that you take down in Angry Birds Journey with your slingshots are made from wood, stone, and glass, and it is essential that you know how each of these structures reacts to damage in order to plan the very best plays. The weakest type of structures are glass which can be toppled easily by shattering them with very little effort. Wood structures do not shatter as easily, and stone is the sturdiest of the three materials and requires direct hits or the explosion of a TNT crate to destroy it.

Aim for Weak Spots

Always strive to complete the stages in Angry Birds Journey as quickly as possible by using as few moves as possible. To efficiently clear stages you need to create large chain reactions across them. The best way in which to do this is to first examine the stage for weaknesses and then aiming for it with the type of bird that will inflict the most damage to it. An example of this is piles of rocks held back by thin walls that when destroyed will trigger a rock slide that will fall on your adversaries.

Always Check Your Objectives

You will be able to clear most of the stages in Angry Birds Journey by simply clearing them of enemies. When tackling the more advanced and tougher stages in the game you need to always check your current objectives by looking at the top left corner of the screen to ensure you know what to prioritize with every shot you take. Listed below are the different stages in the game and how many levels are in each of them.

Ancient Ruins

2 episodes, levels 1-160

Crystal Clouds

2 episodes, levels 161-320

Starry Desert

4 episodes, levels 321-640

Sleepy Meadows

4 episodes, levels 641-960

Sacred Springs

1 episode, levels 961-1040

Use the Anger Meter Wisely

The Anger Meter becomes unlocked early in the game and is charged up by destroying blocks in a stage. Once the Anger Meter is full you will be able to activate it to considerably enhance the abilities of the bird you are currently using, so their ability affects a much larger area. The only exception is the Red bird where the Anger Meter lets him perform up to 8 consecutive jumps, causing much more destruction. Make sure you save your Anger Meter for when it will give you the most benefit.

Protect your Streak

The first time that you complete a level you will begin a streak. If you continue playing that streak will give you a boost in Sunshine, as well as give you up to three powered-up birds to start the next level. It is important that you always try to protect your streak because it makes things a lot easier in the long run. The Win Streak Meter is unlocked after you complete stage 30.

Save your Boosters

During gameplay in Angry Birds Journey you will be able to get boosters that can help you to complete stages quicker when used in the right situation. Boosters can be earned from reward chests, from in-level purchases, or from the bundles in the Store. Listed below are the three types of boosters you can get and how they affect the game when used.

Chilling Wind

This booster is unlocked at level 40 and changes all the building blocks into glass.

Duckling Rain

This booster is unlocked at level 42 and causes a rainstorm of small ducklings that damage the blocks.

Flower Sprouts

This booster is unlocked at level 44 and causes a plethora of flowers to sprout from the ground, throwing the blocks up and damaging them.

If you run out of boosters you can buy more by paing coins, just tap the plus icon that is next to the booster icon.
