After the vine phase, when running on the ground, at any junction, go in the direction of your last turn and you'll end up where you started. For example if you just left the tunnels, you'll end up back at the tunnels. If your next turn is different from the last turn you took, you'll end up at the other area. For example if you turn left when the last turn you took was right, and you started at the tunnels, you'll end up at the vines. It works three times in a row then reverses.

In sky summit, follow the pillars at the junctions to go to the tracks or the tree to go to the water slide. This also reverses every time you play the stage.
