You have to be in the second generation. When you are, go to the kitchen to prepare the cinnamon, then your person would go to the workshop to make the cinnamon ingredient. Then you carry them over the bins in the front of the house where there is an orange thing, that's when they'll make the spray to get rid the ants.
It might be that you need to work on the ingredient after making the cinnamon ingredient, try placing your person where the ingredient might be.

When in a ant problem , you should see a cookie jar looking thing , drag you're person to it , it says to finish the last thing , and by the bins by the green one, it looks like a orange blob on the floor then , your little person will carry on then the ants are gone.:-) :-) :-)
