Why is it when I lose, I lose by 20 points, but when I win it's only 5 points at a time?

If you have a more rockets than your opponent and you lose you will give them 20 points but if they have less rockets than them you will only give them 5.
So in reverse, if you win to a player with more rockets than you they will give you 20 rockets but if they have less rockets than you you will only win 5......
