Where do I get hammers in Kingdoms

Go to the Crafting section of the market and buy Toolmaker. Cost is 1400 gold and 10 materials to build. Size is 5x5. At level 1, a hammer requires 3 ore, 2 wood, and 10 minutes to make. Upgrading to level 2 will require 20 pearls, 10 hammers, and 35 wood. At level 2, making an axe requires 1 hammer, 1 wood, and 2 ore. Upgrading to level 3 requires (10 axes, 2 grindstones, wood? I'm not sure). At level 3, making a saw requires 8 iron, 3 hammers, and 1 grindstone. Upgrading to level 4 requires300 pearls, 8 saws, and 30 irons. I haven't done that yet, so can't tell you what making scissors will require.
I've found it's best to have at least 2 toolmakers (leave one at level 1 to make nothing but hammers, since you need a lot of them). Don't be in a hurry to build your gazebos, because you'll get stuck waiting until you can bake cakes and build tables. Those are both level 3 tasks for other buildings, which in turn take a lot of time and resources to upgrade. You'll need plenty of cream (40) to upgrade your bakery for the cakes, so plan to build at least 2 or 3 dairies as soon as you can and save up the cream.
