It depends on preference. I personally like the ranger heroes a lot but another good one is Raiden, it has Percent-age which saps 1/3 of an enemy's health away. Fun. I can't remember exactly where it is but it's in one of the caves, or a mountain path. Sorry!
By repeatedly mixing killswords at their max lol you can mix a harpy for uriela or killswords, and a hollow for lilith.
