Use the environment to your advantage by shooting any barrels, gas canisters, and propane tanks that are laying about to cause explosions that will kill nearby enemies. If a barrel can be made to explode when shot it will be indicated by your crosshairs turning red when you aim at it.
Squads are comprised of four different character classes. To begin with you will only be able to choose the Recon class but as you progress and level up you will eventually be able to unlock the rest of the classes. Each class has it's own set of weapons and unique skill tree that you need to build by gaining levels.
Assault:
Does great damage against enemies with additional ammunition. Uses assault rifles and pistols and are well suited for medium range combat.
Heavy:
Specialises in close-ranged combat. Uses shotguns.
Recon:
Specialises in exposing enemies. Uses SMGs and pistols and are well suited for close-to-medium range combat.
Sniper:
Specialises in eliminating enemies stealthily at long range.
Use your scout drone whenever possible to outline enemies so you can then aim for their head.
Each weapon has it's own XP meter. You will get 10 points for each kill and those points will then go towards unlocking new optional attachments for that weapon. Getting kills with weapons in one class will unlock the next gun in that group.
Select the 'Auto-Crouch' option at the 'Adjust Controls' menu if you are struggling to progress in Single-Player mode as this feature will make you automatically get behind cover when you approach an object.
Arrange your movement buttons so you can swipe to change out your weapon without having to worry about reloading. To do this go to the 'Adjust Controls' menu and move the weapon selection button closer to your movement buttons.
If you go to the 'Adjust Controls' menu and turn on 'Auto-Sprint' you will become a more difficult target to hit as you will always have the option to run.
