If you use the 'Auto' feature in the early stages of the game your troops should be proficient enough to earn you an 'SS' rank on their own. |

Before you go into battle you are given the option to take a mercenary with you, having another character along side you will enable to switch to a healthy soldier if your character is on the verge of death or suffering from a crippling status. |
