Aerial Knights Never Yield is a short, 3D arcade-style game that features highly stylized art. You take the role of Wally, a teenager who came into possession of evidence that could change the fate of the metropolis. In order to save his future as well as that of the city, Wally must outwit the enemies that stand in his way by performing parkour movements all across a Detroit-based stting. With an average runtime of an action movie (about an hour and a half on Normal), a first run of this action-packed adventure can be enjoyed in an afternoon. Afterwards you can improve your score. Aerial Knights Never Yield is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, PC, Android, and iOS. Take a look at our tips to get help in the game.
Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include choosing right difficulty setting for you and unlocking outfits.
You can take as long as you want to navigate through each story-based level in Aerial Knights Never Yield but in order to get a high score you need to navigate through the level as quickly and efficiently as possible. The game basically rewards speed runs through precision parkour.
You will notice that each obstacle in the environment that you need to maneuver about or through is a color-coded. Pay attention to these color coded prompts as they correspond to a button press. Red means you need to jump, blue to slide, and yellow to somersault through the obstacle.
Keep in mind if you are playing Aerial Knights Never Yield on console or a PC with a controller, you can control your movements with either the D-Pad or with face buttons. Although the game teaches you how to play via the D-Pad the game gives you the option to switch to face buttons if you feel more comfortable with them.
There are three different difficulty settings in Aerial Knight Never Yield - Normal, Hard, and Insane. Make sure you pick the one that best suits you. The main difference between the settings aside from the general spike in terms of obstacles and timing is the differential between slow-mo capabilities. Hard and Insane mode become unlocked at level 3, Hard mode shrinks the time-slowing window near obstacles and Insane mode slows down time as you approach obstacles to parkour over and under. Insane mode ditches the slow-mo in favor of a more pure auto-running experience where you must get in tune with each and every parkour movement in Aerial Knight's repertoire. Insane mode also removes the colored outlines.
Auto-runners tend to be centered around a movement rhythm where you get into a pattern of navigating around obstacles. Aerial Knights Never Yield is no different, the more you play, the more of a rhythm you will slowly ease yourself into. You will find that the background track of this game will encourage you to get into a smooth rhythm anyway.
Regardless of the difficulty setting, you will unlock an outfit for Wally at the end of each level in Aerial Knights Never Yield. These outfits are only cosmetic, they will not give you any additional abilities. Outfits can be equipped from the main menu, locked outfits are greyed out, so you will not know what they look like until you have managed to unlock it.
You get access to a Bonus Level by completing one of the main levels that contain a coin you have to collect. Keep in mind that Bonus Levels will constantly flip upside down and in different directions to disorient you and make it challenging. The button sequence however is always the same, so it is just a matter of replaying the level until you learn what is coming. You can find the first coin to unlock the bonus levels in level 3. After completing the level you will get teleported to a bonus level.
