Active DBG: Brave's Rage Cheats, Tips, Strategy

Below are several hints and tips that will help you progress in the game.

You Need Luck

There are no difficulty settings at the start of Active DBG: Brave's Rage. It is not until you have beaten the first chapter of the story that you will have the option to tweak some assist-like features that will enable you to make the game either easier or harder. Keep in mind you will still require some luck in this challenging game regardless of the level of difficulty you choose to play.

Hire Characters

Each of the different maps in Active DBG: Brave's Rage will have an assortment of different markers indicating things such as treasure chests and monsters. Ignore these to begin with, make going to the tavern your priority when you first enter a new map where providing you have enough gold will be able to hire another character to join your team. If you have started the game as Evra who is a rogue, you will be able to unlock Tracy who is an archer as your first recruitable character. If you have chosen Tracy as your hero to begin with it will be Evra who appears at the tavern. The more characters a party has, the stronger you will be in the game. There are eight different playable characters (with plans to add more) with their own sets of cards and unique skill trees.

Leveling Up Characters

Your characters will not level up on a map. Upon death, they will unlock new cards and bonuses for future runs that will make them stronger. Equipment such as swords and armor can also be found to boost the party's might. Also, when a character dies they will be rewarded experience.

Check Out Your Deck On The Map

To save precious time in battle it is important that you pay attention to your deck and memorize what each card does. You can check out your deck on the world map at any point in this deck-builder rougelike RPG.

Master the Perfect Block

Defense is crucial in Active DBG: Brave's Rage, this means you need to be proficient at performing the perfect block. Once enemies reach a certain threshold of a character's presence, they will glow red. It is at this point that you can use any defense card to reduce damage with a perfect block. Defense cards will usually boost health too. To become good at defense means paying attention to enemy movements, so you identify the signal for their next move.

Extra Battle Options

Be aware that there are two menu settings you can take advantage of if you are struggling to get to grips with battles in Active DBG: Brave's Rage. One of these options is to reduce or speed up how fast the battle transpires (the lowest setting is 0.25 while the highest speed is 2.0). The other option is to simply restart the battle at no additional cost if you feel you have messed up.
