Well, I have only started playing this game so I am NOT an expert! (Just a WARNING!!!) But you can't rush thee process of this. It may take 36-48 hours if the couple being married. Then it should say on one of the couple's Mii apartment a love heart. (Like it did when he/she wanted to propose to the mii) cliuck on it and I SHOULSD say "We were thinking about having a baby! What do you think?"

I think it's random. I only got this game last week and a couple had a baby on MY first day. It's all up to luck.
Same with me I have 2 married couple the first have been married for 2 years the others for 1.5 years. The 2 year couple had one child 2 years ago and I haven't had anymore babies on my island since so it's all chance I would say or maybe check if your baby notifications are on in the town hall
My mii married another mii and they have 4 kids, and all the other couples have three rip idk how I did it
For me it takes quite a while for the miis to want a child so I normally save my game, wait a few hours then keep going in and out of the game until I get a heart somewhere. Basically I cheat. I normally end up with a heart or a super argument going on somewhere on my island. I hope this helped
Well it’s definitely luck but to speed up the process you Basel’s need to ignore them as much as possible.
Just go in and out of the game. Or if you want to have it now, it might work, idk, but you can change the date one by one and it might show a phone telling you they had a baby. Try it out and let me know if it works as in type it on here.
So I had 2 married couples and they had kids in 2 or 3 days just ignore them when you can pay attention to other couples for 20 hours or so then a heart will appear scince they want attention hope this helped
Step 1: Make sure babies are on. Step 2: Have at least one married couple. Step 3: Wait at least 24 hours (one day) until one of them has a love problem. Then they will ask you if it's OK if they can have a baby. Step 4: wait a few days until they have a baby. Step 5: Wait one week.
