How do I break up a married couple? I put my bf in the game, but my mii-self is married to someone else and I don't want them to be together. They kinda like each other still, but I want to break it off.

You can't break up a married couple.
Your couple is going to love each other unless you restart the game.
Edit the mii that your mii is married to so that it's name, personality and appearance are exactly the same as you're bf's mii. Basically just switch them up by editing
Your miis can breakup/ divorce. They may get into an argument, one mii may fall in love with someone else, or they simply lose interest in each other. All of these will make your miis break up and may cause depression for the miis. Keep in mind they will only break up via fight if one mii fails at apologizing.
You lower their friendship level by ignoring them, and if one asks I don't think x loves me anymore, answer the 3rd option. Don't ever give them travel tickets, and don't let them have a child, because then they can't divorce for 5 days. (They can't fight in front of the baby)
Just edit the mii your look alike is with to become your bf, either that or kick the mii your mii is with from the island
