Bongo Bongo is very easy to beat if you know what you are doing.

Step one: Shoot each of it's hands with arrows. One arrow each will do. Be careful, when you shoot one hand the other will come after you. It is easy enough to dodge, once the hand starts moving it moves in a straight line so taking a few steps to one side is good enough. Don't take too long otherwise the shot hand will recover.

Step two: With both hands paralyzed, equip you Lens of Truth and shoot Bongo Bongo's "eye." This will cause it to drop to the drum (ground) stunned.

Step three: Attack the "eye." Jump attacks do twice the damage of normal sword swings, but take longer. I suggest using one as you approach and then attack normally. The Biggoron's Sword does double the damage of the Master Sword and can be used to beat Bongo Bongo (and everything else) very quickly. The Biggoron's Sword is the prize for the trading quest.

Step four: Repeat. With the Master Sword it should take three or four rounds (paralyze, stun, attack = one round). The Biggoron's Sword can beat Bongo Bongo in just two, possibly in one if you are quick enough.

Bongo Bongo may occasionally drop Magic Jars and Arrows, so you don't really need to worry about running out. However this is rare, so it is still best to enter the battle fully stocked. An upgrade to either (or both) help, but are not needed.

Personally, I can beat Bongo Bongo quicker than most any other boss, with the possible exception of Queen Gohma or maybe Morpha. The Biggoron's Sword is a wonderful weapon that you should really look into getting.

To beat Bongo-Bongo you have to shoot his hand (Any one will do.) Then when the hand you have just shot is purple you have to shoot the other hand before the other hand you just shot comes at you or crushes you. After that you need the lens of truth because his hands and body come at you so you have to shoot his body (I did it without the lens of truth.) And then when you shoot his body he falls on the drum. Repeat.

Hope this helps. ;)

A method is to let either hand grab you, then shoot the other one which will have frozen.
