You have to go to Kakariko Village multiple times, each for a different reason. I'm assuming you're talking about when Sheik says to go there. That is where you need to go to find the Hookshot. The Hookshot is needed to gain access to every temple in the future. Explore the Graveyard, and you will find the Hookshot somewhere in there.
