How to Defeat Julius...
Hey guys... Quick question... Does anyone have any tips on defeating Julius In Traverse town after you beat the game? I know that his resistances are great, especially against thunder...
Julius' Resistances:
Fire-40, Blizzard-40, Aero-40, Thunder-60, Light-40, Darkness-40)
Plus when he super-charges himself with lightning, his attack become much stronger... I need some suggestions for my command decks...
Sora's Command Deck:
Icebreaker (Ice spin(freezes)->Fire spin(burns))
Sonic Blade (Rush enemy multiple times)
Ars Arcanum (Unleash a blinding flurry of attacks)
Salvation (Deals medium damage & Heals medium HP)
Curaga (HEALS A LOT OF HP)

Riku's Command Deck:
Shadowbreaker (Darkness spin -> Light spin)
Dark Splicer (Warps around slashing Julius)
Meteor Crash (Strongest Command against him I have)
Limit Storm (The weaker I am, the stronger it is)
Sacrifice (Expends some HP for 1 powerful attack)
Ballonga (2nd Strongest Command against him I have)
Curaga (HEALS A LOT OF HP)

Any tips guys?

Well I used the balloon method. Those command decks are great so don't get rid of them. I died a lot using just the regular commands. I have balloondra balloondra figura burst and 2 curaga and try to have really good tactics for moving for sora I put on super glide and for riku I put dark roll. Hope this helps

Venxas24 answered:

Easy, stock up on baloonras, baloongas, and curagas. Use the forms of baloon right after the other. It's really easy, I did it at lvl 57 on critical.

Well, I only beat it with Riku, so let me give you advice on that.

Things you will should definitely have:

Movement Commands
Dark Roll (Melt into the shadows to escape harm)
High Jump (Press B to jump higher than normal)
Doubleflight (Press B mid-jump to leap even higher into the air)

Defense Commands
Dark Barrier (Block attacks from any direction by pressing Y)

Reprisal Commands
Shadow Strike (Press A right after a successful shadow slide to follow with an overhead slash. Install under Shadow Slide )
Counter Aura (Press A right after a successful block to blow away nearby foes with a dark aura. Install under a block command. )

Abilities (support)
Second Chance (ensures you always retain 1 HP after an attack that would otherwise finish you off, unless you are already down to 1 HP)
Once More (ensures you always retain 1 HP throughout a combo that would otherwise finish you off, unless you are already down to 1 HP)
Leaf Bracer (Prevents you from taking damage while using cure commands.)

Magic
(For this category, it's my personal preference, although the balloon attacks are quite necessary since it's the easiest way to deal damage)
My Command Deck (8 slots) whilst fighting Julius was as follows:
1 Balloonga
2 Cure
3 Dark Firaga
4 Cura
5 Baloonra
6 Cure
7 Baloonra
8 Cura

I recommend having as much HP as you possibly can (When I beat my Riku's HP was up to nearly passed the Drop Bar) since his attacks deal inSANE amounts of damage.

Fighting Julius is all about recognizing his attack patterns, and knowing when to attack.

The most common move he uses is his combo one that gets you trapped. He punches his fists together before doing it, so you're able to recognize when it's coming. Just give it a second, then block with Y, if you're timing was perfect then you might've done a Shadow Slide and Shadow Strike. If you're timing wasn't perfect, then you just blocked all the hits in the combo, wait 'til he's near the end of the combo to perform a Counter Aura.

Another common move Julius uses is he elbow slamming one. Unfortunately, you can't block this move with Dark Barrier, so you'll need t constantly dodge it by Dark Rolling to the left or right. Luckily with this move, after he lands with his elbow on the ground, he takes a moment to get up, this is the perfect opportunity to perform a magic command to deal damage.

Probably the most annoying move to dodge is his building jump one, where he leaps up to the tallest building in the center, and slams his butt down onto you. You'll notice when this happens, your lock on to him goes away. This is actually supposed to help you, so don't try to lock back on to him right away. Keep your eye on the touch screen to see where he is, and you should just Dark Roll 2-3 times in the direction that he's going and you won't get hurt.

Once Julius becomes electrically charged, I don't recommend attacking at all. It fades away after a while, so just frequently dodge his attacks until it is. When you notice that he starts charging up, block immediately, so the bolts of lightning don't kill you.

Your greatest chances of dealing damage are using magic commands, so just time it correctly, and don't try to mash everything in as quickly as possible. I hope this little guide helped you!! Took me QUITE SOME TIME to write it
