How do you get money?

In the first spring money isn't hard to come by it just takes a little effort. Each day collect whatever you find in the forest. Keep moondrop flowers,honeycombs,Rosemary, Mint, Chamomile, twigs and stone put them in your storage box at home. Do not crush these with the hammer or chop with the axe you will have time later to buy them from the shop or as for the wood chop it down. Anything else you find you may sell like bugs and butterfly's but not the Honey Bees keep them. I suggest before you take a run drop your tools in your box this will free up space and ensure you do not run out. Also you should take this run twice if you are planning to make 1000-1300. When the end of spring comes along you get fish traps these are very important and will be your main source of money along with your crops. You'll be aiming to set these traps up in a triangle and wait for them to shake every 30 game time seconds. Before you go and catch save at each trap that way if the trap breaks you can just reload. Next the small fish you catch can be grilled using the recipe you get at the general store. Grilling these they will sell for 300 gold a piece and assuming you caught 5 you made a good haul. You might want to try and catch 30 small fish grilled earning you a great amount of money. 15,000 - 20,000. This will add up fast. Remember those bees and honeycombs that will also become another source of money later in summer. Don't forget to tend to your animals their milk increases if you pet/wash and treat them. When you get a coop and a chicken combine the egg and milk and it will create pudding which sells for 900 gold if you have both 1 star animals.

Just wait until Spring 27. Then you can use the multiplayer mode. There are many other players with high leveled cows so you can get masses of high star ranked milk.
