Great Hope, Great DisappointmentAdded 16 Dec 2015, ID #1757

The game was all around a major disappointment. There were a few good things I can compliment though. The return of Riolu as a hero chief among them, the fact that all 720 Pokemon can be encountered is another, and the disappearance of Micro Transactions another. But the bad things far outweigh the good things. Previous games, when I played them for the first time, took me anywhere from 25 to over 40 hours to fully beat the story mode. This took under 20, which translates into 10 or so if I replay it, which I probably won't. I did not like the way you "connected" with other Pokemon, I preferred encountering them in dungeons, and battling many of the same species to recruit one. That added easily another 20-50 hours of play time, especially when it came to stubborn legendary Pokemon like Mewtwo, Groudon, and Rayquaza in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue Rescue Team. Another thing I didn't like about the game was the incredibly low leveling rate. I spent 20 hours with my main two Pokemon, maybe going in a dungeon without them 2 or 3 times max, and they're only mid-20's. This made beating bosses next to impossible without items like Blast Seeds, which are now incredibly rare for some reason. Another is the fact that the other Pokemon seemed to have a great lack of emotion. The story also took far too long to unfold, I spent several hours trying to figure out the importance of the Beheeyem, and didn't get any more info till nearly the end. I rate this game as the worst Pokemon game I've played. Please, make it better for generation 7.
