Rainbow Road - Dodging Blue Shell

In Rainbow Road at the wavy road location, it is possible for first place to dodge the blue shell without the use of any aid from an item. Once the blue shell as been fired and your on the wavy road, drop down to the planets surface and the blue shell should just zoom past you.

If your unlucky it will hit you. The only times if it will is if you were at the end of the wavy road or if the person who fired it was quite close to your position.

Note: There may be similar things like this on other tracks for first place to avoid getting hit by the blue shell.
