Look out for barrels and crates for ammo and healing items and keep an eye out for shiny objects for treasures worth big bucks! - If you get overwhelmed by enemies, retreat, and try to lead them into a bottleneck type area, such as a door or long hallway, so that they must come at you one at a time. - Reload between combat. - Upgrade your weapons when possible, the more powerful they are, the easier the game is going to be. - keep your eye on your partner, although she is fairly good as AI goes, she will still get in a lot of trouble, especially on the higher difficulty levels. - Towards the end of the game, use cover as much as possible, the majini with weapons are pretty accurate and their bullets will chew you up very quickly if you remain exposed for too long. - Rather than buying ammunition, When upgrading your weapons, upgrade your weapons capacity and you will be rewarded with full ammo. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you have an interesting tip or tactic, let me know. By following this guide you will also be able to collect all 30 of the hidden BSAA Emblems, treasures and weapons. =============================================================================== *************************** *** Civilian Checkpoint *** [ACT-01] *************************** BSAA Emblems: 0 Treasures: Topaz(Marquise), Gold Ring Weapons: Handgun [M92F], machine gun [VZ61] Once you gain control of Chris, move forward and follow the road around to the right. Make your way to the butcher shop and enter the door around the right side of the building. Talk to the man standing here for a quick scene and a handgun [M92F]. After the scene head out the door to your left and head down the stairs. Enter the building to the right of the dead animal in the street. Work your way through the room and exit the door at the back left. Continue along the street and head up the stairs in front of you. Open the door for a quick story segment. When you are in control again, shoot the majini that runs at you. When it is down, head into the room on the left and jump through the window next to the bookshelf in the corner. Head into the alley to your right and after a quick scene you will be facing a large group of angry looking majini. Immediately turn around and follow the road to your right. Here you have 2 options, you can head into the building in front of you to continue with the mission, or sit back and mow down majini. There is an unlimited number of these guys and you will be rewarded with your first treasure [Topaz (Marquise)] if you can manage to kill more than 30 of them - this might be easier if you come back during a second run through when you have more powerful weapons and sufficient ammo. Once inside, Sheva will close the door for you. Investigate the door with the bars and open it with a bit of teamwork. Mosey on through the next area and jump down the hole on the far right-hand side of the area into an underground passage. Follow it to the end and climb the ladder. Open the door to your right and follow the dirt path until you reach the end, jump down into the yard below. Enter the building for a scene. You will now have to defend yourself against wave after wave of majini. The best strategy is to jump through the window closest to you immediately following the scene and stand in the left hand corner. No majini will come from this side and you will be able to see all of the areas they are likely to come from. Those including: the gate into the next area, over the wall directly opposite the corner you are standing in, from above the wall around the right side of the building and a little later on, from inside the building itself. Stay in the corner and try to kill as many as you can before they reach you. After about 2 minutes, a new spawn point will appear inside the building you entered the area from and more enemies will be coming out of the roof. Keep the same strategy, staying in the corner and only moving when you are overwhelmed. Surviving for another minute or so will encourage the big executioner to break down the gate. This is your chance to make a run for it. Head straight past the executioner and run to the opposite end of the area. When you reach the gate turn to your left and open the metal crate for a machine gun [VZ61]. Return to the gate and from here you will be able to pick off any enemies from a distance. If they reach you in numbers, run back to the broken gate and repeat the process. Keep an eye out for the oil drums, shooting these will cause fire to appear and kill most enemies in the surrounding area. It will also give you a bit of breathing room to heal because the enemies will stand clear until the fire goes out. If you can take down the executioner, you will be rewarded with another treasure [Gold Ring]. Focus on firing on his head and land a melee attack on him if you get the chance. Stand well clear of his whirling axe attacks as they will do massive amounts of damage. After a couple of minutes more of survival the mission will end. **************************** *** Public Assembley *** [ACT-02] **************************** BSAA Emblems: 3 Treasures: Antique Clock, Ivory Relief Weapons: Shotgun [Ithaca M37] From the start, head through the open gate and head to the left. Follow the path all the way around the building and enter the big red door with Sheva’s help. Move forward and enter the building in front of you, head through the room and out the back door. Move to the broken ladder in front of you and give Sheva a boost. She will climb the ladder to show you a key. Unfortunately you can’t get at it from here, so she will jump down and rejoin you. Head into the alley to your left and kill the female majini in your path. Exit the alley and turn left. You should see a blonde haired girl getting dragged away behind a wire fence in front of you. Eliminate any majini in the area and then boost Sheva up the broken ladder next to the fence. She will head across the rooftops to get the key. Meanwhile you will be attacked by a couple more majini. Take them out and head into the door opposite the broken ladder. In the room, head out the door to your right. Follow the path around to the left. When you reach a large stack of boxes, stop and a majini will jump out of them at you. Kill him and continue around the right side of the building. Enter the building through the door directly under the stairs. Once inside, head up the staircase and go out onto the balcony in front of you. Turn to the right and walk to the end. From the vantage point here, look straight across the street in the direction of the building with the brown roof. Just below the roof you will be able to see your first BSAA Emblem. Shoot it. Head back inside and head to the balcony on the opposite side of the building. Two majini will surprise you. Take them out then look on the left side of the balcony for the treasure [Antique Clock]. Jump down and turn to the right. Use Sheva to help open the door. After a quick scene that will clue you in on where to go next. Hang out for a second; remember the key we picked up before? Let’s use it - make a sexy left turn and make your way to the smaller of the two buildings in the area. Use the old building key to open the door, inside you will find a shotgun [Ithaca M37]. Exit the shed and enter the large building via the stairs on the right side. After the scene, equip the shotgun and kill the woman. After you have removed her head, it will be replaced by a big, nasty looking tentacle – this is your first Cephalo. To down it, simply keep your distance from it and concentrate your fire on the head-based appendage until it is dead. Once it is down, you may pick up another treasure [Ivory Relief] from the body. Exit through the door opposite the door you entered from, killing any majini that get in your way. Head down the stairs and clear the small open area. Follow the wall around to the right and enter through the red door. Make your way down the hall and through the room to the stairs. At the stairs, follow the path through to an open room. Climb the ladder here and continue along the balcony to the left. When you reach the first corner, look across at the green door to the next area. Now look up directly above the door and you will see a water tower. On the bottom of the tower is [BSAA Emblem 2]. Head over to the door and follow the balcony past the door to the left. Jump across the gap and open the chest for 1000 gold. Go through the door and follow the passage at the back of the room until you reach an elevator. Ride it down. Exit the elevator and follow the path through to a large room with another two doors. The door on the opposite end of the room is locked, so we will need to head down the passage to the left. In the room at the end, you will find a dead body with the key, lying before a control panel with a furnace behind it. Pick up the key and head back to the larger room. == Boss: Uroboros Mkono == This guy has three different attacks, he will swing at you with his arms if he gets close enough, use his elaticity to extend his arms to hit you from a distance (which you can dodge) and if you get too close he will grab you and swallow you, which will result in instant death. He will also teleport if you stay away from him for too long, so keep your eye on the mini map to know where he is all the time. The easiest way to kill this guy is simply to lure the big fellow back into the furnace area and get him to follow you into the furnace at the back of the room. Once inside, weaken it by focusing your fire on the orange weak spots on his arms. When you have damaged them enough, the boss will collapse on the floor for a short time to regenerate. At this point, run out of the furnace and take the opportunity to run to the furnace control panel and turn it on. This will roast him and finish him off for you. After the scene, head back to the locked door in the previous room and open it. Follow the passage to the elevator. But before you jump on, follow the left wall back to the corner and look through the wire fence. Next to the ventilation fan in the distance you will see [BSAA Emblem 3]. Shoot it and enter the elevator to finish the level. **************************** *** Storage facility *** [ACT-03] **************************** BSAA Emblems: 5 Treasures: 2x Jewel Bangle, Sapphire(Pear), Ruby(Marquise), Emerald(Square), Ruby(Square), Topaz(Pear), Sapphire(Square) and Emerald(Pear) Weapons: Machine gun [H&K MP5], sniper rifle [S75] At the start, turn around and head around behind the back of the left jeep. Climb the ladder and jump across the gap to open a chest for 1000 gold. Next to the chest you will also be able to shoot [BSAA Emblem 1]. Return to the starting spot and open the metal case for a new machine gun [H&K MP5]. When you are ready to get going, head through the door at the back of the room. Once outside, follow the water along and head into the large stacks of cargo crates. When you see the wall mine in front of you, look up to the left and kill the archer, next shoot the mine and continue round the corner. Another 2 majini will meet you here. Dispatch them and follow the crates to the right. When you see the next wall mine, target it with a bullet from your weapon of choice to destroy it, then continue past it. You will now encounter some rather vicious dogs. Use your shotgun for maximum effect. Once the area is clear, find the next wall mine and destroy it. Continue down the path behind it, killing the majini on the way to climb the ladder at the end. Head through the hollow crate and jump down. Head out to the open area in front of you. In this area, there are a few majini, a couple of dogs and a big man majini. Try and stay in the cover of the crates and pick off the enemies as they move to encounter you. Once the dogs and the big guy are down (loot him for treasure [Jewel Bangle]), head out and polish off any archers that are still hanging around. Once the area is clear, make your way to the large gate and use Sheva’s help to open it. Through the gate, turn left and jump across the gap in the bridge. Move along the bridge a short way, as you do a truck will turn onto the bridge and come racing at you. Quickly shoot the driver through the windshield of the car. If you are too slow, you will be crushed so make your shots count. The car will flip on its side if you are successful. As it does, a large group of majini will congregate behind it at the far end of the bridge and start running towards you. If you examine the area you will see a large number of red, explosive barrels lining either side of the bridge. Shooting one of these is likely to take out several enemies at once if they are close enough. Once the road is all clear head to the end and take the stairs to the left. At the bottom of the stairs, stop and look back at the bridge. On the bridges central support you can see [BSAA Emblem 2]. Continue along the path and enter the dark tunnel, equip your shotgun again as you will have to contend with a couple of groups of dogs. Fight your way through and use the door. Exit the tunnel and turn left to find treasure [Sapphire (Pear)]. Head back to the right to see four bodies lying on the ground. Move closer and some winged creatures will emerge from them. Kill them and then shoot the lock off the door at the end to enter another set of tunnels. At the end of the tunnel, climb the ladder and head forward. Make your way down onto the beach to your left and then follow the small dirt ramp up into a market place. At the top of the ramp to the right is a small green booth. Inside you can shoot [BSAA Emblem 3]. To the left at the top of the ramp is a large fruit stall and inside you will see a chest. To get it, you will need to blow up the stall. You can do this with a grenade. If you do not have one, use your knife on the pile of coconuts at the back of the stall to find one. Lob it in there and claim the treasure [Ruby (Marquise)]. Next, turn around and you will see a pair of buildings that are joined. Head around to the right of them and climb the ladder to get on the roof. Make your way to the opposite end of the roof from the ladder for treasure [Emerald (Square)]. Jump down and shoot the lock off the big green door on the left hand building. Inside, look up at the body hanging in the middle of the room and shoot down the keys that are hanging in front of it. Pick up the key and a scene will start. A swarm of majini and a big man majini will start their attack. At this time, it is probably best to stay in the room for as long as possible. If you feel overwhelmed, jump out the back window and find some space. Clear the area and kill the big man Majini for another [Jewel Bangle]. Head over towards the water and open the gate using the port key. Kill the majini on the boat and head straight across to the pontoon opposite. Turn right and climb the ladder. Immediately take cover behind the building on the left. Lean around the corner, when safe and take out any majini you see. Shortly a friend with a helicopter will arrive to help you out. Slowly move up, taking out enemies as you can and the helicopter should finish them off. Before you reach the barricade, climb the ladder on the building to the right and look into the big building across the street behind the roadblock, through an arch on the second floor you will be able to see [BSAA Emblem 4]. Jump down and vault the barricade. Take cover behind the building to your left again and another large group of enemies will emerge from another building further down the road. Kill them all with the helicopters help and head inside to find a sniper rifle [S75]. Exit the building and follow the road through the big red gate. Move around and head into the building in front of you, kill its residents, and then continue on to the next area. Kill the flying baddies that come at you and then keep going straight ahead, give Sheva a boost up the broken ladder, and then head around the building to the left. Follow the dirt path and kill the large number of bad guys that come your way. As you reach the entrance to the next building, a few more majini will come out. When they are all dead, head inside and find your way to the stairs. Climb to the very top of the building and killing a few baddies along the way. At the top, give Sheva a hand jumping across the big gap to the building opposite. Immediately turn around and look up to the right to see [BSAA Emblem 4]. Jump down to the level below and cover Sheva across the street by killing the majini that are climbing the stairs to get her. Cover her all the way to the street level and she will open the locked door downstairs for you. Exit the building into the street and turn left. Head up the stairs at the end of the street. At the top of the stairs you will encounter a chainsaw wielding majini. He can kill you instantly if you stay still for too long and can do a lot of damage with a swing of his saw. You will need to keep your distance from him and then lure him down into the street, which is unfortunately once again populated with majini. Here you can use the explosive barrels to weaken him. Focus fire on his head and then connect with a melee attack when he flinches. Repeat this a few times and he’ll be pushing up daisies in no time. ***NOTE*** On Veteran and Professional difficulties, a second chainsaw majini will arrive after the first has been killed. Pick up the Guard’s key from his body and return up the stairs. Open the gate on the left and examine the contents of the chest here for [Ruby (Square)], [Gold bars], [Topaz (Pear)], [Sapphire (Square)] and [Emerald (Pear)]. Continue along the path and exit through the gate at the end. Make your way around to the right and open the big brown gate. In the next section you will be watching a story scene, but will still need to follow the button prompts at the bottom of the screen during the video to complete the mission. *************************** *** Train Station *** [ACT-04] *************************** BSAA Emblems: 3 Treasures: Ruby(Pear), Diamond(Oval), Ruby(Square), Diamond(Brilliant), Diamond(Pear), Diamond(Square) Weapons: rifle [Dragunov SVD] Exit the starting room and head to the left, cut around the back of the train and move towards the opposite end. As you get about half way down, a group of dogs will appear from around the corner in front of you. Immediately shoot the wall mine to the right, and then focus your fire on any remaining dogs. Continue around the corner, between the next two trains. Do exactly the same again, move halfway down, and then shoot the wall mine after the dogs appear. Unfortunately, there are a few more dogs the second time around and they can and will run beneath the trains to surprise attack you. After the second wall mine has detonated, waste no time in exiting the train area and putting your back to the fence in front of you, this will enable you to see all of the dogs before they attack, equip a shotgun and go nuts until they are all dead. Climb the piles of wood to your right and before you climb onto the train, look at the power line that you can see directly in front of you above the starting area. Zoom in with a sniper rifle to net [BSAA Emblem 1]. Climb up onto the train and eliminate the 3 archers here. One of them will turn into a flying monster, so be prepared. Make your way to the train on your left and down the makeshift ramp. Shoot the wall mine and then jump down into the awaiting mine cart below. Now it’s time for some fast shooting. The mine cart you land in will start rolling down the tracks, and there are two wall mines between you and the end. Keep your eye on the right hand side and shoot them as you pass. Once the cart has stopped, jump out and hit the control panel. This next area is a little annoying, inside the mine, is very dark so one person will need to pick up a lantern and provide light for the partner. Either way, follow the mine cart tracks into the caves and continue to the left. Once you start to walk through water, you will be attacked by a Cephalo and a melee attacker. Continue on and at the next fork in the path. Before you move any further, look to the right to shoot another baddie, and then head left. Soon after, you will encounter another Cephalo .Keep moving until you reach an open area with a waterfall. When you reach the open area, look above the waterfall to the right for [BSAA Emblem 2], and look above the entrance to the next area for treasure [Ruby (Pear)]. Continue through the doorway to find three melee guys, one of whom will turn into a Cephalo . Eliminate them and continue onwards to the next fork. At this point, hug the left wall, and kill the majini that jump down in front of you, continue following the left track until it rejoins with the right. As they converge, look in an alcove to the right and pop the bad guy chilling there. Continue to hug the left wall, and you should find a small corridor leading to a chest containing [Diamond (Oval)]. Head back to the tracks and follow them up the hill to a red wheel. Open the gate for Sheva, and once she is through immediately let it go and turn around. Kill the pair of majini that are exiting the tunnel to surprise you and wait for Sheva to open the gate before heading through. Head out into the lit open area ahead. As you do, a quick scene will show and then you will have to contend with a swarm of enemies. The best tactic is to head out of the entrance and take cover in the small blocked tunnel to the left, killing enemies as they come into your line of sight. When it gets quiet (after killing 14-15 enemies), venture out of the tunnel and eliminate the archers situated around the elevated platforms. Climb the ladders to the top level and head into the left hand tunnel, kill the grenade tosser here, he will turn into a Cephalo, then look above where he was, to find [Ruby (Square)]. Continue around to the left and up the hill, in the next room, eliminate the pair of archers and the grenadier and then head into the elevator to enter the next area. Once out in the sunlight again, head up the stairs in front of you and enter the house for a cut-scene. After watching said scene, check out the lockers to your left for a new weapon – the rifle [Dragunov SVD]. Head downstairs and open the door. Pull out your sniper rifle and kill all the majini you can see in the distance, you should be able to nail around 3-4 of them. Move up to the tower on the left and stay behind it. There is a majini manning a powerful machine gun a little further down the road. When he stops firing, run to the empty truck trailer to the left and jump inside, Run to the far end and take cover behind it. Take your time, and when it is safe, kill the gunner with a well-placed headshot. Jump off the trailer, then head around the pile of pipes to the right, find the ladder here, climb it and head to the left for a treasure [Diamond (Brilliant)]. Return to the road and continue past the machine gun turret until you find a large ladder on the cliff to your left. To the right of the ladder near the top of the cliff, is a shining object you can shoot for [Diamond (Pear)]. Once you have it, climb the ladder and look immediately to your left. Pull out your sniper rifle and zoom in on the building in the distance for [BSAA Emblem 3]. Continue along the cliff top until you are able to jump down to the right. Do so and when you see the broken ladder to your left, give Sheva a boost up. Next just work your way along the road killing everything in your path, just be careful of the grenade tossing bad guys. Once you regroup with Sheva, jump down the small ladder you your left and look at the cliff next to it. Shoot down treasure [Diamond (Square)]. Climb back up the ladder and continue up the road and along the cliff top until you reach a large, green waste bin. Get Sheva to help you move it, and then jump down to fight the boss. == Boss: Popokarim == This guy looks tough, but is really very easy to defeat. The monster has a very hard exoskeleton and will take very little damage. Its only real weak spot is a patch of red flesh just under its tail. But he won’t let you get a shot off at it easily. This ugly critter will come at you with a few attacks – a tail swipe, a swing of its bladed wings and a charge attack. These can be easily avoided by quickly hitting the button of choice when it pops up at the bottom of the screen, and will do some chunky damage if it connects. The boss will also shoot some slime from its tail. Popokarim can also fly, but only does it very rarely. In the air, he will swoop at you, which like his other melee attacks can be easily dodged by an on screen button prompt. The general strategy to defeating this guy is to immobilise him first and then unload on his weak spot. To immobilise him, look in the dilapidated shacks and destroy the crates and containers around the area for proximity mines. Next, put some distance between yourself and the boss and lay down a mine. Stand behind it, and fire at the boss with whatever weapon you have handy to grab its attention and try to lure it into the proximity mine. When the mine explodes, the boss will become temporarily stunned and collapses. Quickly equip a shotgun and run around the back of it and blast his weak spot until he regains his footing. Repeat this until he is dead. *************************** *** Savanna *** [ACT-05] *************************** BSAA Emblems: 0 Treasures: 0 Weapons: 0 During this mission you will be manning a machine gun on the back of a jeep. You need to attack the constant waves of enemies from damaging your vehicle, so that you can reach your destination in one piece. The machine gun is prone to overheating so try to fire it off in short bursts rather than firing continuously. There are two types of enemies in the first part of this level – armoured trucks and motorcyclists. The trucks will come in and ram the jeep and the majini in the back will fire away at you with crossbows and lob axes and grenades. The cyclists will just toss grenades and axes. To start the level 6 or 7 majini riding bicycles will be racing up the back of the jeep from the left. Kill them all and another group of motorcyclists will ride in from the back left. Soon after these enemies arrive, a button prompt will appear at the bottom of the screen. You will need to hit the correct button or you will leave the road and take some damage. Now an armoured truck will come into sight from the right. Shoot the passengers on the back of the truck here quickly, and then look to the left, another group of motorcyclists, should be coming into view. Eliminate them as soon as you can or they will toss grenades at the jeep. More cyclists will come in from the left. After a second button prompt section, an armoured truck will cruise in from the left and a group of cyclists will come from the right. As before, eliminate the threat on the back of the truck before focusing on the motorcycles. As you continue, you should head past several groups of cyclists on the right, dispatch them when possible. After another button prompt, a truck will come in from the right, a group of cyclists will enter from the left and they will shortly be followed up by another truck from the left. After taking out another few cyclists, you will come to an abrupt stop. You need to take out the road block in front of you. Ignore the enemies for now and focus on the explosive barrels around the area and in the back of the truck. Once detonated, kill the majini in front of you until a cut-scene shows and you continue on. When you regain control, you will head over a bridge and get back on the road again, from here on you will need to focus mainly on the right as the majority of the enemies will come from this side and there is a river to the left. An armoured truck will come from the right, followed by a group of motorcyclists. == Boss: Ndesu == This fight is fairly easy; you won’t have to do any movement as you are stuck to the turret. The centre of your attention will be the big fellow with the grumpy face in front of you. Along with the grumpy giant, three majini will also come into the area occasional to make life difficult for you. Just to the left, on the balcony a grenade tossing fellow. Also to the right in the distance is a small building, with a pair of archers - one on the balcony and one on the ground level. Between the big guys attacks you should take out the majini before they do too much damage to you. Managing these guys is essential for beating this fight on veteran and Professional difficulty. ? The boss will come at the jeep; focus your fire on his face. When he’s up close he will do a couple of things, he will lean back and take a swing at you, in this case hit the button at the bottom of the screen to avoid the blow. He may also raise his foot to stomp on you, either way, shoot him in the face and foot until he flinches. He will also back off a bit and either pull up a giant rock to throw at you or pick up a telephone pole to hit you with. As he does either of these, if you are quick enough, you can shoot an explosive barrel nearby and he will immediately drop what he’s carrying. Finally, on occasion, from the back of the area he will put both arms above his head and will hit the ground, mash the button that lights up the bottom of the screen to avoid taking damage. Just focus fire on the boss and When you have done enough damage to the boss he will let out a roar and a series of weak spots will sprout from his body. Eliminate them all and he should bend over and a big one will pop out, shoot this until it re-enters his body. Repeat this three times and he will hit the dust. **************************** *** Marshlands *** [ACT-06] **************************** BSAA Emblems: 4 Treasures:2x Idol(Silver), 3x Beetle(Brown), 2x Chalice(Silver), 2x Ruby(Pear), Emerald(Pear), 2x Blue Enigma, Ceremonial Mask Weapons: Rocket Launcher, magnum [S&W M29] You will start the mission jumping off your hovercraft onto a wooden pontoon. Follow the pontoon to the shore and pick up the Beast Slate on the ground in front of you. Turn back around and look past the pontoon at the water. There is a large wooden wall. Look to the right side of the wooden wall and through the opening. You should see what looks like a telegraph pole in the distance. Take out your sniper rifle and aim at the pole, you should be able to see [BSAA Emblem 1]. Shoot it, then re-enter the hover boat. This level is a little different as you will be exploring a wide open area rather than a set path. On the map there are five places we will be heading. 1. The passage at the southwest corner Head down the river between the ominous looking guard towers and make your way to the docking area at the very end. Get out and follow the walkway up into a series of three buildings. Head around the back of the first building and make your way towards the shack furthest from your starting position. You will be attacked by a large number of tribal flavoured majini, some wielding spears, others with shields and some with a combination of both. The spear guys can jump and spear you, so keep a close eye out for any button prompts at the bottom of the screen. The shield guys can also be a pain, the best bet for them is to shoot them in the legs until they stumble, then get off a couple of quick head shots. As there is quite a few baddies here, it can be overwhelming. In such a case, run back to the boat and shoot the one at a time as they come down the ramp to get you. When they are all dead, head into the shack in the back corner for the Warrior Slate. On the way back to the boat, open the chest in the open area in front of the three buildings for treasure [Idol (Silver)]. Jump in the boat to continue. After jumping in the boat, head back the way you came. As you go around behind the shack which contained the slate, look for a tree with purple flowers on it. Drive the boat slowly up to that and Sheva will grab the treasure [Beetle (Brown)]. Move back towards the main area a little bit further and you will encounter a short scene. You are now trapped! All you really need to do to escape is to drive the boat around the big spiky gate in the middle of the area until Sheva takes care of all the bad guys. When there is nobody left, the obstruction will be gone and Chris can return to the main area. Before you escape however, there are a series of majini archers in canoes blocking your way, simply boost through them, or ignore them or even kill them if you feel the need. When you reach the main area, it’s time to head to the next place on our hit list. 2. The island in the middle Jump off the boat and walk up to the stairs at the end of the jetty. Before you walk out onto the island, pull out a sniper rifle and use it to zoom in on the supports of the building in front of you. On one of the supports on the back right hand side, you will see [BSAA Emblem 2]. To the left of the jetty is a large brown pole with purple flowers on it, move close to it to pick up treasure [Beetle (Brown)]. Inside the building, open the chest for the treasure [Chalice (Silver)]. Explore the island to pick up some ammo and eggs if you wish, then return to the boat when you are ready to continue. 3.The dock at the centre of the eastern side Land on the pontoon and follow it through until it stops. Enter the waist-high water and head for the building in the distance. In the water here, on the far left of the area, you will see a lone tree, walk over to it to find treasure [Beetle (Brown)]. You will also need to watch out for crocodiles that will charge at you and finish you off pretty quickly. Just avoid them where you can. Continue on towards the building at the back of the area. Here you will need to move into an open area underneath the building. On the door to the right of the entrance you will be able to pick up treasure [Ruby (Pear)]. Continue through and up the ladder on the other side. Up the top, make your way around the building and follow the path into a circular storage room. Inside open the chest for the Raptor slate. When you pick it up, you will make some angry tribal majini appear. Fight them off and make your way all the way back to the boat. 4. The village in the northeast corner In the far northeast corner is our next target. Get off the boat and step onto land. Shoot the cow skull situated above the alter in front of you for treasure [Emerald (Pear)]. Turn to the right, and you should see another cow skull hanging off the side of a small hut. Shoot it for treasure [Ruby (Pear)]. Continue through the village until you reach two guard towers with a totem pole in between. Help Sheva up the left tower first for treasure [Idol (Silver)]. Then when she hops down, throw her up into the next tower for the Shaman Slate. As she picks it up, several shield wielding and spear toting majini will appear behind you, so defend yourself, and slowly fight your way back to the hovercraft. One of the majini will turn into a Davulia. The tactic for these guys is similar to the shield majini. Fire at his legs until he stumbles or flinches, as this happens the protective shield protecting the head will open. Now the head is clearly visible and easily targetable, take the opportunity this grants you to empty a few rounds into his face and finish him off. Once everything has been dealt with, get in the boat. 5.The dock at the northwest corner Make your way to the final unexplored area in the northwest corner of the map. On the way, locate the half-sunken boat and jump out on it. Here you will find weapon [Rocket Launcher]. Jump back in the boat and continue to the pontoon to the North West. When you get off the boat head into the hut in front of you and immediately look up to see [BSAA Emblem 4]. Continue along the path, up the ladder and open the chest for treasure [Chalice (Silver)]. Jump back into the boat and head for the sealed door on the western side of the map. Insert the 4 slates into the door to open it. Head through and jump down into the water. Turn to the right and look under the pontoon for [BSAA Emblem 4]. Follow the river around and up the stairs into a majini village. Upon entry, turn right into the first building. As you do a scene will show and you will be trapped with a group of archers. Kill them and then look near the dead body in the centre of the room for a magnum [S&W M29]. Continue out the other side of the building and continue exploring the area. Not too long after you have picked up a few items, you will hear a tribal war cry and then a large number of baddies will come to attack you. Among the group of regular majini, there will also be two giant majini to contend with. These guys are pretty challenging, even more so with the large number of regular majini still kicking around. To take these giant guys down will require you to fire repeatedly at their chest and arms until they flinch and then follow up with a melee attack. Repeat a few times to knock them out. For some additional help, the building at the back has a ladder inside which leads up to an elevated platform. Knock over the ladder and shoot the enemies as they try to put it back up again. Killing them will yield treasure [Blue Enigma]. Make your way to the bridge. You will need to raise it for Sheva to cross. Follow the fence around to the right until you find a small gap, with a dirt path leading to a small ladder. Climb this and turn right to find a handle you can use to raise the bridge. Wait until Sheva has entered the door on the other side of the bridge. Release the handle, and turn around, sometimes if you missed one earlier, a majini will be there and trying to sneak up on you. Smash his face off, and make your way to the door to the right of the crank, wait for Sheva to open it for you. Follow the door straight through, past the building and up the ramp in front of you and straight into the cave at the top. Open the chest at the end for the treasure [Ceremonial Mask]. Head back outside and hang a right, jump across the gap and continue through the building onto the awaiting gondola to finish the mission. **************************** *** Execution Ground *** [ACT-07] **************************** BSAA Emblems: 2 Treasures: Ruby(Pear), Sapphire(Square), Jewel Beetle, Ruby(Square), 2x Venom Fang, Jewel Bangle, Gold Ring Weapons: 0 Exit the gondola and make your way through the building to see a scene. Once it is done, hang out on the balcony and eliminate any enemies you can see below. When the area is reasonably clear, jump down and follow the walkway around to the right up the ramp and vault the gap. As you do, you will see another scene hinting at what you need to do next. Following the scene, more majini will have magically spawned below and across the other side of the area. Eliminate the majini below and jump down. Examine the crank at the far right and you will be shown where to go next. Climb up the opposite ladder from whence you came and continue along the path to the left, killing anything in your path. When ready, jump down onto the raft. On the raft, you will be attacked four times by crocodiles. To avoid being eaten, follow the button prompts at the bottom of the screen. When you reach the ladder climb up and kick the button. The bridge will drop, giving you access to the next area. Open the gate, and make your way back to the bridge. Cross it and enter the caves behind. Climb up the first ledge and shoot the hanging light for treasure [Ruby (Pear)] continue along and repeat for the next ledge and light for [Sapphire (Square)]. When the cave ends you will find yourself in what looks like a small campground. Head through the closest tent and out the other side, look between the tents to see [BSAA Emblem 1]. Exit the tent and look for the flaming oil pipe. Beneath it on a barrel you will find treasure [Jewel Beetle]. Continue down the path until you reach the oil refinery. At the gate turn a quick 180 degrees and look at the cliff on the left, you should see something shining. Shoot it down for [Ruby (Square)]. Pick it up and head through the gate into the next area. Inside the refinery, shoot the enemies that are visible from the starting spot, then jump down. Wait a couple of seconds and a couple of majini will appear. Take them out and then head up the stairs to the left. Scale the ladder at the top and turn the wheel on the raised platform. This will cause a fire to your left to be extinguished and several enemies will appear from that general area. Kill them and then head through the now open area and up the ladder, use the switch to summon a flying fox. Jump on the zip line and ride it to the opposite side of the area. As you land a quick scene will show a chainsaw majini who has just arrived to ruin your day. He will take a little time to make his way up to the platform so in the meantime you can prepare. In one of the barrels here you can find a proximity mine which will make eliminating him a little quicker. Your reward for killing him is [Venom Fang]. Spin the red wheel here to extinguish another fire. Jump down and run back to the start, head up those stairs again and rather than climbing up the ladder here, head around the back of this tower and take the path to the right. Climb the circular stairs to the top and pull the switch to summon another zip line. Cross the area with the zip line and use the wheel to extinguish the final fire. Open the gate next to the wheel and another chainsaw majini will jump down in front of you. Again, kill him for [Venom Fang]. Head across to the new area and follow the walkway to the right. At the top of the stair 7-8 majini will come at you. Fight them off, and then enter the area from where they emerged. Jump down to the area below and open the door. After the scene, you will need to defend your mate as he works on the elevator. Enemies will come from windows on both sides, a door behind the elevator and the wire fence facing the elevator door. To start with, the enemies will only come from over the fence and through the window to the left of the elevator door, so focus your attention on those two areas. When Josh speaks again to say “Good job”, that is your warning that enemies are going to start coming from all four areas. A big man majini will also join their ranks, and if you can down him you will be rewarded with [Jewel Bangle]. When sufficient time has elapsed, the elevator will become active, so quickly run inside and ride it up to the second floor. Follow the catwalk all the way around to the right, climbing up the ladders and continuing along until you reach a locked door. Once again, you will need to defend Josh as he works to open the door. A group of majini will ride up the elevator and another couple will jump through the windows on the opposite side of the room and just for fun, another chainsaw majini will make an appearance. If you kill him you will receive [Gold Ring]. When the door is open, run through the door. After the scene, follow the set path along and open the big red gate. When you reach the railing overlooking the water, ignore the gate to your left and turn right, follow the walkway all the way down to the boat in the distance. After the scene you will be given 2 minutes to make your way to the opposite side of the docks and a crowd of majini to run through. Before you do though, turn around and run to where the boat was, enter the shed nearby and look up on the wall for [BSAA Emblem 2]. Exit and make your way back to the gate we ignored earlier, killing anything that stands in your way. Shoot the lock on the door and head through. A big man majini and three dogs will come out of the shack in front of you. At the top of the stairs to the right is a wall mine you can use to damage them. Finish them off and then head down the stairs, destroy the mine at the bottom of the stairs and continue down to the docks. Depending on the time remaining, kill or ignore the group of majini that are here and then jump on the boat to complete the mission. **************************************** *** Oil Fields - Drilling Facilities *** [ACT-08] **************************************** BSAA Emblems: 1 Treasures: Emerald(Marquise) Weapons: 0 After the starting scene you will assume control on the hovercraft. You will not be driving however and similarly to the Savanna level you will need to defend your vehicle from enemy attacks. To start with, a pair of majini laden boats will appear behind you, both of them have two archers, and another has a Molotov tosser so you will need to eliminate them quickly. When the two boats disappear, turn around and you will find yourself heading into a built up area. Archers on the walls here will give you grief, but are difficult to shoot. Shooting at the big red barrels instead is much easier and will cause a huge explosion that will do the job for you. After passing under two arches, and detonating the barrels above each, you will see a small raised platform to the right, shoot the barrel here, and then shoot the majini in front of you on the immobile boat. You will then head under another gate. If you are quick, you will be able to hit the two archers and flying monster in front of you. If not, the hovercraft will stop here so you will need to take them out as soon as possible. When the vehicle stops, jump onto the dock and turn around. Clear out the enemies you can see in the area. There should be 2-3 flying enemies left and a large number of majini. Eliminate as many as you can and then head up the ramp. Before you jump across the gap, look to the right and take out your sniper rifle and zoom in at the bottom edge of the gate you came in from to find [BSAA Emblem 1]. Jump across the gap and follow the path down to the switch. Hit the switch and the gate will open, turn around, 4-5 majini, two flying enemies and a pair of Molotov majini will appear. Kill the Molotov guys, who will spawn above the gate you entered from by shooting the red barrels, next focus on whatever is closest. Work your way back to the hovercraft. Once you jump on the hovercraft, get ready to defend it again. You will head out the gate and under a train track; shoot the red barrel on the metal catwalk in front of you to kill the three majini surrounding it. Hit the duck button when it flashes up at the bottom of the screen or you will be killed. When you stand up, ignore the majini just in front of you, and shoot one of the red barrels in the distance. Duck under the second obstacle and you will head in another gate. Shoot the red barrels on the raised platform to the left and the barrel under the pipe on the right and then pick off any remaining majini. After moving under the pipe, shoot the barrel in front of the boat to the right. After that, kill as many as majini as you can before the hovercraft stops again. Disembark the boat and head to the right. Move behind the wooden wall, and a pair of enemies will spawn atop the locked gate and will man the powerful gun turrets there. Take cover behind the left side of the wall, and pick off the enemies on the turrets. As you do, a couple of groups of other majini will come out of the building between them. Once the turrets are down, eliminate them and then head up the ladder on the left side. Head into the building and look in the cupboard in the back left corner for treasure [Emerald (Marquise)]. Jump down the ladder and pull the switch. Wait for Sheva to pull the other one and the gate will open. As with the previous switch/gate area, a group of enemies will object to the gate being unlocked and will hamper your effort to get back to the hovercraft. Once you are back on board, you will head through the gate for a quick scene. == Boss: Irving == >> Phase 1: You will find yourself in the middle of a heavily armed ship. To one side of the ship, the monster will rise out of the water. Quickly head to that side and command Sheva to use one of the turrets, man the other one and focus your fire on the small yellow bubble near its head, this is its weak spot. After a short period of time, it will go under the water and four tentacles will rise from the water. Shoot the orange hued area about half way up each tentacle. As you shoot them they will move closer to the boat and will attack if you cannot take them down fast enough. Use the button prompts at the bottom of the screen to dodge. Once all the tentacles have been destroyed, the monster will rise to the surface again. Once again shoot at the weak spot on its head, being careful to dodge if needed as it will charge at the boat at times just to mix things up a little. It will then submerge again, and a different kind of tentacle will rise up out of the water and onto the deck to try and grab you. Go to the very front of the boat and shoot any tentacles as they come to get you. Once the tentacles have retreated back into the water, next the monster will rise from the water again to the side. Repeat the process. >> Phase 2: After you have done enough damage to the boss, he will submerge and during a scene, will attach itself to the back of the boat. Make your way to the back of the boat and get your partner to man one of the turrets whilst you jump on the other one. Fire away at the boss’s weak spot, which you will see when the mouth opens - the body of Irving. The boss will also attack you with tentacles which will rise from either side of the main body, try to ignore them and dodge them with a quick button press when prompted when they try to crush you. Use the turrets and continue to shoot Irving until the monster closes its mouth and submeres. Detach from the turret and move back a little. You will need to watch out at this point as it will charge, jump a fair way onto the deck and try to eat you, follow the button prompt to avoid it.Then jump back onto the turret. Continue pumping away at him, repeating the second phase until he’s dead. *************************** *** Caves *** [ACT-09] *************************** BSAA Emblems: 3 Treasures: Topaz(Trilliant), 2x Ruby(Pear), 3x Sapphire(Pear), Topaz(Pear), 2x Topaz(Square), 2x Sapphire(Square), Emerald (Trilliant), Ruby(Trilliant), Sapphire(Trilliant), Idol(Gold), Emerald(Square), Sapphire(Pear), Ruby (Oval), Soul Gem Weapons: Explosive [Grenade Launcher] Continue from the boat, through the small cabin and into the cave. Follow it until you reach an open area, move forward a little to encounter a group of spiders, these little things are small but annoying. They will jump on you and do major damage, so it is essential to down them quickly. They are very sensitive to light, so if you have a spare flash grenade, using this near them is a sure fire way to eliminate a large group of these pests in a short time. Head pas the ladder and into another small cave in the wall beyond it. Climb up on the ledge to the left and open the chest for [Topaz (Trilliant)]. Turn around and shoot the sparkling object on the roof, jump down to pick up [Sapphire (Pear)]. Exit the area and go back to the ladder. As you do another group of spider enemies will attack you, deal with them and head up the ladder. At the top one more spider will be waiting for you. Continue forward along the rock bridge here until you reach the second skeleton. At this point turn to the right and look for a small waterfall, just above it you will see [BSAA Emblem 1]. Make your way through the tunnel, fighting off the waves of spiders that will try to stop you until you reach a locked door. Look on the ground for a pair of skulls. Shoot both of them for [Ruby (Pear)] and [Sapphire (Pear)], then shoot the burning torch in the corner for [Topaz (Pear)]. Enter the door. Jump down the gap to your right and follow the path into the ruins in front of you. On the first archway you will see a [Topaz (Square)]. Jump down where you need to and head right, open the stone chest in here for 900 gold and continue through the area until you reach a stone bridge. Move to cross it and it will collapse. When you are ready, jump don to the platform below and work your way around to the left. A pair of melee and a pair of spear toting majini will jump onto the path at the corner, and after they are down, a large number of tribal majini – shield bearers, spearmen and crossbowmen will appear here a little bit further along the path to welcome you, so take the usual precautions. Slowly work your way around the stone walkway and up the stairs. At the top, pull a u-turn to the right and head for the structure in front of you. A couple of shield and spear majini will rush out of the first doorway at you. Eliminate them and then head into the room they came from, open the chest to the left to have Sheva join you and to find [Sapphire (Square)], [Sapphire (Pear)] and 700 gold. Continue along the path until you reach the opposite end of the bridge, from here take a left and head for the stone chest in front of you. Open the chest and the floor will fall away beneath you; hit the button prompt at the bottom of the screen to land safely. You will now be in a pair of crossing corridors. As soon as you land a group of [spider] will emerge from the ground in front of you and a melee majini will drop down behind you. Kill them and a majini will drop down from the left and a spearmen will come from the right. Whilst they are coming at you, there are also a number of spiders to contend with coming from all sides. Once you have defeated everything, a cut-scene will show the door opening. Before you go however, head down each of the three other hallways to pick up the treasures [Emerald (Trilliant)], [Ruby (Trilliant)] and [Sapphire (Trilliant)]. Do be careful as although the scene has shown, the occasional majini warrior or [spider] is still likely to appear. Head for the open door, but do not exit just yet. Use a sniper rifle to eliminate the three shield guys and then fall back a bit (a pair of archers will hide behind them for cover if you are not quick enough, so eliminate them also). Wait a few moments and 5-6 spearmen will appear from behind the raised platform in the room below. Kill them as they jump up onto your platform. When everything is dead or dying, using Sheva’s help turn the device in the middle of the room for a short cut scene. You will now need to run as fast as you can to the now open door whilst avoiding the great balls of fire. Successfully entering through the door will activate a pressure plate, this will now keep the door open permanently and remove the fireballs from the preceding area. Continue down the stairs and open the door. Move into the hallway and follow the button prompts to continue. After the scene, jump down the hole in front of you and pull on one of the chains either side of the room. Descend the stairs, and pause at the top of the second set of stairs. Pull out a sniper rifle and look up to the ruins above the area to your left to see [BSAA Emblem 3]. Continue down the stairs, and turn left, turn left again into a small alcove at the end for weapon [Grenade Launcher]. Do a quick 180 degree turn and head into the room behind you, making your way to the blue statue in the corner. Pull the chains to see a cut-scene. After the scene, examine the floor in front of the statue for [Sapphire (Square)]. Make your way up the stairs the chains activated, and head for the green statue. Before you pull it, jump over the gap at beside the top of the stairs for the treasure [Idol (Gold)]. Head back to the statue and pull the chains. After the scene, look at the floor in front of the statue for [Emerald (Square)]. Then head away from the statue along the newly formed bridge and turn right. As you do, a large group of tribal majini will appear in the ruins over to your left. The melee enemies, shield chumps and spearmen will slowly make their way to you, so while you have the opportunity, try to cap the torch carriers and the crossbowmen. Once everything is down, make your way around the platform and find your way down the stairs here, and up the next set. Pull the chains on the orange statue at the top of the stairs, and then examine the base for [Topaz (Square)]. Examine the purple statue a little further along the platform to your right and you will notice there is only one chain. You will need to find the other, which just happens to be in the room below. Sheva will stay here to pull the chain. So when you are ready, move downstairs, and enter the room here with the second purple statue. As you approach it, you will see a scene showing a bunch of baddies coming to get you. A group of majini warriors will jump down and attack Sheva, so do your best to help her out from below. As you do several spiders will emerge from he ground to bother you and a group of five warriors will appear behind you. Try to kill the torch bearer fist, then the spear guys. Once the area is secure, pull the chain on the purple statue in the corner. Examine the floor beneath both statues for [Ruby (Pear)] and [Sapphire (Pear)]. Head to the most North Eastern corner and find the red statue. Pull the chain to reveal the stairs to the exit. Examine the floor before the statue for [Ruby (Oval)]. Turn around and make for the stairs. == Boss: Popokarim == Before you get very far, a boss will appear. This is the same kind of boss that we encountered at the end of mission 2-2. There are two ways to kill this guy. Firstly we can run away. Simply run past him and up the stairs, following the button prompts you get as you near the top. Alternatively we can fight him. For a tresure [Soul Gem]. The tactic for this guy is essentially the same as for the first encounter you had with one of these guys. You will need to kite him around and stun him using grenades and the grenade launcher until he collapses then go to town on his weak spot. Like the first time you fought him, watch out for all of his melee attacks and dodge with the button prompts. Once you have hit him in his weak spot enough he will die. Either way you choose to deal with that bad boy, head through the door at the top of the stairs to complete the mission. **************************** *** Worship Area *** [ACT-10] **************************** BSAA Emblems: 1 Treasures: Ruby(Pear), 2x Blue Enigma, Sapphire(Pear), Diamond(Trilliant), Beetle (Gold), Idol (Gold), Emerald (pear) Weapons: 0 Head up the stairs and continue straight until you reach an alter with several empty sockets on it. This level is similar to the Marshlands level (3-1). We will need to collect three plates and affix them to the slots here to access the next area. To start with, head to the path leading off to the left. As you move close to the entrance, a scene will show, giving you a look at some nasty solar powered laser beams that you will be dodging in this area. Rather than cruising to the right towards the source of the beam, head straight across the path and into a large side room. Make your way across the makeshift bridge. Directly in front of you on a raised area, 3 archers will fire at you as you cross, shoot them as soon as you can as some melee and spear majini will start to come down the stairs to the left of that platform to come get you as well. Eliminate both groups of baddies and head up the stairs to where the archers were. Pick up the Sea Emblem and head back down the stairs. Some majini will now be coming across the bridge you came over previously and a couple more, including a Majini Chieftain will jump down onto the platform. Eliminate them all and head back to the laser hallway. Make your way up the hallway slowly, making sure to take cover in the side areas when you see the beam coming your way. Transfer to the parallel hallway in the left halfway up and continue up the stairs on the right at the end of the hallway where the laser begins its route. At the top of the stairs, wait in the doorway for the two lasers to pass, run to the right into a safe area under a stone arch, shoot the shiny object on the ceiling here to pick up [Ruby (Pear)], continue to the end of the walkway to the right and up the stairs here, look up towards the alter above to see the majini who is controlling the lasers on this side of the area. Shoot him and then head all the way back along the double laser path and continue into the room to the left. In this room, give Sheva an assist in jumping across the gap, and then use a sniper rifle to help defend her as she climbs the stairs. She will grab the Sky Emblem and jump back down onto the platform to your right, likely bringing a few angry majini, including another Chieftain with her. Take everything out and move towards where she jumped down from the raised platform. Look for a large crack in the wall to your right. When you find it, look through the crack and pick off the majini utilising the laser on the left side of the area. Run back along the hallway to where you shot the first laser guy, and make your way down the hallway on the right. At the end of the hallway, turn to the left and eliminate the archers and shield majini in front of you. When the coast is clear, look for a shiny object on the wall to your right above the stairs, shoot it down to pick up [Sapphire (Pear)]. Head down the stairs and pick up the Earth Emblem from the alter in front of you. A few more shield and crossbow majini will appear, eliminate them and head back to the alter with the empty sockets. Insert the three plates and climb the stairs, before you head through the door, shoot the shiny object above it for [Diamond (Trilliant)]. Enter the door. Move down the stairs and investigate the sun door. Head through to a large open room. We will need to move the reflective plates in the room to make the beam hit the plate on the elevator in the back left corner. Don’t touch the solar beams or they will instantly kill you. Head around the outside of the room to the right, and use the mirror closest to the elevator to reflect the light onto the elevator plate. Once the elevator has become active, ride it down. In this room, arrange the mirrors so that the beam will look like such: [ ]----------------[ ] | | | x | | [ ]--------[ ] | | | A= Entrance | | B= Exit | | x= Column [A]---x----[ ] [B] Once organised, kick down the columns blocking the light. Jump on the elevator and ride down. In the next room, before you mess around with the mirrors, head into the room behind the small skull statue and look above the door for [BSAA Emblem1]. Do not open the chest in the middle of this room. It is empty and will summon a swarm of spiders to kick your butt. Instead, organise the mirrors as such: [ ]----------------[ ] | | | | A= Entrance | | B= Exit [C]+-------[ ] | [B] C= Skull Statue | | | | | | | | | [ ]------[ ] [A] Firing the beam at the skull statue will open the locked doors on either side of the room. Inside you will find [Beetle (Gold)], [Idol (Gold)], [Ruby (Pear)] and [Emerald (pear)]. Once you’ve looted everything, then organise the mirrors as such: [ ]----------------[ ] | | | | A= Entrance | | B= Exit [C]| [ ]--------+------[B] C= Skull Statue | | | | | | | | | [ ]------[ ] [A] Head down the hallway to the elevator and ride it down, move into the room in front of you to complete the mission. *************************** *** Underground Garden *** [ACT-11] *************************** BSAA Emblems: 1 Treasures: Ruby(Square), Emerald(Pear), 4-5x Lion Heart Weapons: machine gun [AK-74] From your starting position, immediately turn around and look up. Shoot down the shiny bit for treasure [Ruby (Square)]. Avoid the raised. Circular platform in the middle and move around as far as you can to the right. You should see a metal walkway leading to the next area, underneath this walkway in the water; you will see [BSAA Emblem 1]. Look straight up from here, and shoot another shiny spot for another treasure [Emerald (Pear)], head back to the start and make your way around the middle section to the metal walkway. Pick up the emerald you shot down and continue through the door in front of you. Head through the door on the left for some ammo, and then continue through the door at the end of the hallway. After a quick scene, head through the room and out the other side, follow the hallway all the way around and use the wheel to open the door. Head through the door and pull the switch. Smash the glass and move through the room full of caged animals to the left. Move slowly into the hallway and a pair of lickers will emerge from the glass enclosure on the left. These bad boys are tough and can grab you with their tongues if you are not too careful. You can dodge the licker attacks with button prompts on the bottom of the screen. Eliminate them and you may be lucky enough to be rewarded treasure [Lion Heart]. Continue through the door at the far end of the licker room. In the next hallway, turn right into a side room for machine gun [AK-47]. Continue along the hallway and up the stairs to the next area. Open the door at the end of the hallway and you will be in another hallway, this time flanked by a pair of glass enclosures. Each room has several lickers in it and they will attack you immediately if you make too much noise. So make your way through the room slowly and turn left through the door and continue until you reach the large metal door you need Sheva’s help to open. As you open the door, the lickers will be alerted to your presence and will attack. Run to the end of the hallway and turn around, fire at the lickers as they come through the door. If they start to overwhelm you, continue down the hallway until you reach the elevator, then turn around and pick them off as they round the corner. Once they are all dead, examine the elevator door. The elevator will start coming your way, but will take about a minute or so to arrive, and in the meantime a steady stream of lickers will appear from the hallway you entered from. Hold them off until you hear the elevator arrive and then jump inside to continue. As you get off the elevator, stock up on ammo and equip some grenades before heading into the large room. == Boss: U-8 == This boss looks like a giant crab with nasty, scythe-like appendages which he will use to make your life difficult. He will constantly move around the platform, and will swing at you if you stay in front of him for too long. The boss will also at times retreat up high and summon a group of smaller insects which can be killed for ammo and healing items. To defeat the boss, you need to have a grenade equipped. To start with, look at the pair of large legs supporting it on the platform. The red, dangling pieces of flesh under the joint in its arms is its weak spot. Focus your fire on them enough and the boss will temporarily collapse. As he does a short cut-scene will initiate showing his weak spot - his mouth. Take the opportunity to run up to his mouth and toss a grenade in – there should be a button command to do so when you are close enough. The grenade will explode and remove part of its exoskeleton exposing a soft part of its head. This becomes its new weak spot. Firing continuously at this will kill him. You can however make it easier, by repeating the previous step several times (shooting the arms and lobbing a grenade in his mouth), to expose even more of the weak spot, making it easier to target. Either way, just blast away at the red part of his head and avoid any attacks he throws at you until he is dead. After this bad boy hits the dust, the level will be complete. ***************************** *** Experimental facility *** [ACT-12] ***************************** BSAA Emblems: 1 Treasures: Power Stone, 3x Dead Bride’s Necklace Weapons: machine gun [SIG 556] Continue into the next area and open the door. Head down the stairs and take cover behind the crates. From cover, kill the three military majini. Move into the next area and another pair of bad guys will burst through the door. Take out the melee guy first and then the gunner. Continue through the door and take cover behind the corner of the gas cylinder. Take out the guy behind the crate closest you and then move up and take cover behind it. At this point, a pair of melee majini will emerge from a door on the left of the room to compliment the 3-4 gunners already in the room. Prioritise killing the melee guys first and then eliminate the other majini who are in cover as you get the opportunity to do so. Once they are down, move up to the next closest crate and another three majini will enter from he left door. Take cover and eliminate them. If you go into the side room on the left for some ammo, a melee guy will drop down the stairs behind you, so be careful. When you are ready to move on, exit through the door at the back of the room. Follow the hallway and when you enter the large room, immediately take cover behind the crates in front of you. There will be a pair of stairs to both sides in front of you, and a few gunners behind cover on the raised ledge directly in front of you. One of these is a Davulia so try to take him down first. Once the lot of them are down, slowly move up either set of stairs and run straight to take cover behind the corner in front of you. Lean around the corner and take out the enemies closest to you. There are several other groups as well, which can be easily taken out by an accurate shot into a nearby explosive barrel. Once everything is dead and gone, make your way to the back of the room and use the elevator. Exit the elevator and make your way into a dimly lit corridor. As you round the corner you will see a number of lickers, kill them and slowly work your way to the end of the hallway. Continue round the U-turn in the hallway and work your way to the end. Watch out for the lickers that will emerge from the vents on the walls as you continue down the hall. Continue through the red door. As you enter the next area, immediately turn to the right and head to the end of the platform. Jump down the ladder and turn left to eliminate the bad guys who are present – there should be 1 melee guy and a gunner. From here take cover behind the conveyor belt and try to kill the enemies on the other side of it. There should be 4 enemies on the same level as you and a couple on the raised platform above them. Once you feel the way is relatively clear head to the far left of the conveyor and climb the ladder. Jump down the other side of the conveyor and finish off any remaining hostiles. Head all the way back to the right and jump onto the conveyor belt. Run all the way to the opposite side of the room, running up the middle for the most part, and avoiding boxes when you need to. Climb up onto the platform on the right and continue up the stairs. Kill the melee guy here and knock down the door to continue. You will find yourself facing another conveyor. This time, it has explosive barrels on it. Before you jump down, you should be able to see an enemy on the catwalk closest to you, and with a sniper rifle, part of an enemy on the next catwalk down. Once they are done, jump down and run up the middle of the conveyor. About half way down you will see another majini on a third catwalk above you; shoot the barrel sitting next to him. Continue a little further and a group of shielded majini will jump onto the conveyor and move towards you. Try shooting the explosives on the conveyor in close proximity to these guys to take care of them quickly. When they are down, a pair of grenade tossers will appear on a platform, just above the end of the conveyor. Kill them quickly. As you do another group of shield toting chumps will again join you on the conveyor. Repeat the same tactic as last time and when you are safe, jump off to the left. Head down the stairs here and immediately turn left. There will be two dumpsters here. Look inside the open one for [BSAA Emblem 1]. Continue around the corner to the left for the machine gun [SIG 556]. Head up the stairs behind it and pull the switch. No power. Turn to your left and head up the stairs. Follow the path all the way around until you reach what looks like an elevator shaft with a pair of switches in it. Pull the switches, and then make your way back to the control that was powerless earlier. About half way back, near the gooey looking area, you will encounter your first reaper. These things are tough and a pain to kill. On top of that they have some instant killing attacks that cannot be broken; they will also drop gas which can obscure your view, which can be a pain when trying to target them. To kill these guys, your best bet is to keep your distance; you will then need to focus your fire on the white section of their body, which will constantly be changing as you hit different parts. Once you have it down, pick up the treasure [Power Stone] and head back to the now power restored switch. Activate it. On this conveyor you will have to head all the way to your left, around the barricade in the middle and then all the way back to the right again and climb off the conveyor on the right. As you navigate the conveyor, watch out for the twitching corpses, they will jump up and grab you. You should also keep your eyes out for the treasure [Dead Bride’s Necklace] on the ground near the bodies; there are at least two for the taking. Once you are off, head up the stairs and through the door to continue. Continue along the hallway and enter the door at the end for a short scene and a boss fight. == Boss: Uroboros == This fight is essentially the same as the first time you me him. This time, however, the throbbing mass of black worms does a lot more damage and there is no furnace in sight. Like the previous encounter, he will be able to dissappear into the ground and reappear anywhere in the room, so when you cannot see him, look out for worms on the floor, which will clue you in on where he is likely to make an appearance. He will fire his arm at you like a missle and use his elastic arms to punch you from a distance. Both of these attacks can be avoided with a timely button press. Like the last time he will also swallow you, which will result in instant death. In the middle of the room, on the wall opposite the computer terminals is a flame thrower, this fight will revolve around this weapon. IT only has very limited ammo and will need to be placed back up on the wall frequently to recharge. To defeat this big ball of badness, you need to continue firing at the red spots on his arms, once they have been disabled, get Sheva to pick up the flamethrower and toast him. While the flames are on, fire at his head until the flames run out. Once the arms regrow, you will need to take them off again. Wait for the flamethrower to recharge and then repeat the process until it dies. ********************************** *** Uroboros Research Facility *** [ACT-13] ********************************** BSAA Emblems: 3 Treasures: Sapphire(Marquise), 2x Power Stone, Jewel Bangle, Royal Necklace, Ruby(Brilliant), 2-4 Lion heart, Chalice(Gold), Topaz(Brilliant), Sapphire(Oval), Sapphire(Brilliant), Emerald(Oval), Heart of Africa, Emerald(Square) Weapons: rifle [H&K PSG-1], magnum [L.Hawk] Exit from the lab and you will be facing a pair of ventilation fans, look up behind the right hand fan for [BSAA Emblem 1]. Climb the ladder you your left and head straight down the hallway, in the room at the end you will find a safe containing the treasure [Sapphire (Marquise)]. Pick it up and head back towards the ladder. Take the left turn into another hallway and open the door at the end to access the next area. Head around the corner your left and out the door onto a catwalk in a large, open area. As you enter, turn to the left and run down to the second set of cover, look around the side, and you should see a group of four majini on a catwalk across from you. They will run and jump across a gap to intercept you, or try and shoot at you, so mop them up as best you can and head for the gap in the walkway leading to where the baddies came from. As you approach the gap, a reaper will drop down from the ceiling, turn and run to put some distance between it and then try to take it down as fast as possible. When it is dead, pick up [Power Stone] from its corpse. As the reaper dies, another group of majini will appear, head back to the gap, and use the cover next to the jump to take out the enemies you can see. When they are all done for, jump across the gap, as you turn the first corner here, another reaper will drop from the ceiling, immediately retreat back over the gap and kill it for another [Power Stone]. When you reach what looks to be an elevator shaft, head down the catwalk to the left, another reaper will drop down here. Kill it, loot the body and continue into the next room. Pull the lever in front of you and look in the corner beside the door for a new weapon – the sniper rifle [H&K PSG-1]. Head back to the elevator shaft and use the console. As you do, a group of enemies will appear across the gap in front of you, and will start to move your way via the moving platform that the console controls. Eliminate the Big man majini and his 2 cohorts, and then target the majini using the control unit on the other side of the gap. BY the time they are all dead, the platform should have just about reached your platform. When it does, use the console and Sheva will head across. When she arrives on the opposite side, she will use the console to send the platform back to you. She will be attacked by a pair of Cephalos disguised as shield toting majini and another melee guy. Do your best to defend Sheva with some well placed head shots and hop on the platform when it arrives. Once you regroup with Sheva, pick up the [Jewel Bangle] the Big man majini dropped and head to the left. As you approach the corner, you will have a quick scene interrupt you showing a few rocket-toting bad guys. Take cover on the corner and lean around it, aiming straight down the hallway, a pair of melee guys will come down the stairs and round the corner into your line of sight. Pop them and between explosions, continue down the hallway to the set of cover next to the stairs. From here, eliminate the two rocket majini on the balcony. Head up the stairs and the door in front of you will open, another rocket majini and a melee guy will emerge, take them down ASAP or the rocket guy will fire off a round and make a bad day for you. Head through the door and eliminate another rocket guy. Two more shield majini will run into the room, you may want to retreat out the door as they will turn into Cephalo once they take enough damage. In the control room here, look on the desk next to one of the computers for the treasure [Royal Necklace]. Continue down the hallway and through the door at the end to continue. Head out into the large circular area and take the stairs down to the metal platform. This is a giant elevator that will take you to the top. Look under the stairs and throw the switch to activate it. On several occasions on the way up, you will be interrupted by scenes showing groups of majini emerging from hallways and mounting turrets on overlooking ledges around the room. When you are being fired upon, the elevator will slow down considerably until you eliminate the threat. Try to use the central pillar of the elevator as cover and use a sniper rifle to take out the gunner and his friends. In the second such ledge, fire down the hallway behind the enemies to snag [BSAA Emblem 2] – this can be difficult to get, but easily obtainable if you come back later with a rocket launcher. There should be around 4 platforms that you can clear on the way to the top. As you near the top of the elevator shaft, you will see a spiral staircase similar to the one you entered the room with down below. Try to keep the central pillar of the lift between you and it as a group of 6 enemies will appear here to fire at you and if you are not careful, they will kill you very quickly. Take them out and head up the stairs to the exit. After heading through the door, continue through the hallway into a stone cavern. As the tunnel exits, just before walking out into the open area, look up for [Ruby (Brilliant)]. Continue into the cavern and you will see a raised bridge in front of you and, a small building to your right and an elevator shaft on the left. Head for the bridge first, and pull the switch to the right of it to activate the lift control. Now head to the lift, and walk around the opposite side of it from the control, look down the elevator shaft for [BSAA Emblem 3]. Use the control and lift Sheva to the catwalk above. She will walk the perimeter of the room around a catwalk and will have to push a large bin a fair distance. As she makes her way around, a large number of lickers will crawl up the walls and follow her along the platform. Your job should be to shoot as many lickers as you can so that they target you rather than Sheva because if you do not, they will most likely get to her when she slows down whilst moving the blockage. If you make them angry enough, they will drop down to your area through a hole in the fence, so deal with them as best you can. Once Sheva has successfully removed the obstacle she will drop down into the little building to open the door. Immediately run inside and get Sheva to follow you up the ladder. From here, look down into the building and eliminate all the lickers that gather in there, they can come up to meet you, but seem fairly slow in doing so when there is a large number there. Just throw a grenade or two down, and open up on them with a shotgun until they are all dead or dying, then jump down and loot them, you should find a couple of [Lion Heart] treasures among other things. Throw the switch in the corner of the room to lower the bridge and examine the lockers for [Chalice (Gold)]. Make your way out to the bridge and shoot down the sparkling object above the door for [Topaz (Brilliant)]. Mosey on through the ominous looking door at the end for a boss fight. == Boss: Wesker & Jill == This boss fight is not difficult, and is more frustrating than anything. You will not be able to shoot Jill or you will fail the mission, but she will continue to run around and shoot at you willy-nilly. Wesker will leave the area after seven minutes leaving you to contend with Jill. However if you can do enough damage to Wesker before the seven minutes are up, he will run away, and drop the treasure [Heart of Africa]. At the beginning of the fight, make sure you have your map available and immediately head to the right wall, and examine the metal door here. It is locked, but soon enough after you look at it, you will get a scene showing Wesker kicking you through it. When you regain control, head up the stairs and into the hallway, quickly follow it around to the left and head into the small room, to the right, just inside the door is a lone pot on a shelf, smash this for [Sapphire (Oval)]. Head through into the next room and open the chest with Sheva’s help inside you will receive a new weapon – the magnum [L.Hawk], [Sapphire (Brilliant)] and [Emerald (Oval)]. Now it is time to fight Wesker. By now he should have made his way down the hallway and you should be able to see him on the map. Sheva will likely go and try to restrain Jill whilst you contend with the big man. If he can see you, you will not be able to shoot him as he will dodge everything Matrix-style. When he is up close, he will shoot at you (which you can dodge if you watch the bottom of the screen carefully) and get stuck into you with some fairly nasty melee combos. You have no chance of beating him at this range. You need to run away from him and put some distance between yourself and him, if you are some distance away and he can still see you he will do a charge attack, from which you can perform a counter attack. This is a good way to do a bit of damage to him, but not really worth the risk. A much easier way to defeat him is to run through the rooms and hallways until he loses sight of you. You will know when to attack because he will say something like “You can’t hide forever” and on the map he will stop and look back and forward, take the opportunity to unload a few rounds into him until he charges you. Lose him again and repeat the process until he has had enough. == Boss: Jill == Before you start, Run over to the left hand balcony and destroy one of the jars for treasure [Emerald (Square). Once you have it, head down the stairs to fight your former partner. Jill is probably more difficult than Wesker because you cannot shoot her at all. She will jump all over the room throwing melee attacks and combos at random. She also has a pair of guns that will fire off whilst spinning in a circle, these will make short work of you if you are unlucky enough to get caught in their fire. Jill will also jump to the balcony on either side and use that as a vantage point to shoot at you from. The key to defeating jill is to stay close to her and using the button prompt on the bottom of the screen when it pops up. This will get Chris to say something to her and she will change positions. She is a fairly simple boss, her weak spot is the glowing circle on her chest. You will need to follow her everywhere until she stands still and arches her back like she is in pain, either grab her, or let Sheva grab her at this point and the opposite player can either run in and use the button mash prompt to attempt to pull the object from her chest, or use a powerful weapon like a sniper rifle or a magnum to shoot the object . She will counter attack, and be sure to hit the button prompt to avoid it. Repeat this process. Once you have shot the corrupting object 2-3 times, it will be weak enough to tear out. When it comes off, you will finish the level. *************************** *** Ship Deck *** [ACT-14] *************************** BSAA Emblems: 3 Treasures: Topaz(Oval), 3x jewel bangle, 3x Dead Bride’s necklace Weapons: shotgun [Jail Breaker] Drop down onto the deck in front of you and climb the stairs, shoot the majini in front of you, then look up to the right, you will see a raised platform with some more majini jumping down to come and greet you. One of these guys will remain behind and lob grenades at you whilst you battle his comrades. Try and pick him off first, and then contend with 3-4 of his mates that want a piece of you. When it’s clear, follow the catwalk until it ends, and take the ladder up. Manoeuvre around the pillars in the centre of this platform and climb up the ladder on the opposite side. Shoot the grenade majini here and walk to the opposite side of the platform from the ladder. Pull out a sniper rifle and zoom in on the radio tower at the very back of the boat. You will see [BSAA Emblem 1]. ***NOTE***Now shoot all the majini you can see on top of platforms and catwalks between here and the radio tower at the back of the boat. There should be 2 on the crane directly in front of you, and another 2 on the right side of the boat near the crane controls. There is a difficult event a little further on that can be avoided if you can eliminate these guys, and killing them will also earn you a bonus treasure. When you are ready, jump down two ladders and hang a right, climb the stairs here and a group of dogs will burst out of a crate behind you and a pair of heavily armoured melee guys will come at you from the front. Pull out your shotgun and do a quick 180 degree turn. Kill the dogs as quick as you can, then turn to face the armoured guys, who should be almost upon you, take them out (note: one of the two will be a Cephalo and continue along the platform. Descend the staircase and another group of dogs will round the crates in front of you. At the same time a big man majini and a couple of melee majini will also join the party. Once again, focus on the dogs first, and then deal with the rest. Pick up the [Jewel bangle] from the big man majini, and then round the corner and kill the melee guy here, he will turn into a Davulia, kill him and jump down the ladder behind him. Make your way into the piles of crates in front of you and turn right, as you move down the path, look out for a green button on the left. Shoot it to raise the crate and continue through for a checkpoint. Turn right and climb the ladder at the end of the platform. Push the obstruction out of the way and then jump down to the deck on the left. Look up to the open crate to your left as you land and toss a grenade inside for [BSAA Emblem 2]. ***NOTE***If you failed to kill the majini from the sniping area earlier, a cage will fall and trap Sheva in the middle of this area. Facing the cage, crates will open to the left and the right of the area, letting in a large number of bad guys. Killing enough will cause a Davulia to appear. If you can kill him, he will drop the crane key. Pick it up and look out for a green button on the left side of the area. Shoot it to reveal a passage out. Cruise on through and use the key on the locked gate. Head up the ladders here, eliminating all the bad guys in your way and use the control at the top. This will lift the cage and free her. Return to the area to fight a group of dogs to end the event. Continue up the ladder on the opposite side, and to your left, if you sniped all the enemies on the crane from earlier in the level you should see the treasure [Topaz (Oval)]. Continue around to the right. In this area you will see two raiseable crates, and two big man majini – kill them both for a pair of [Jewel Bangles]. Jump across the gap to the left of the area and stand on the raiseable crate, Sheva will mimic your actions on the other side. Raise both the platforms with a shot and get off at the top. Jump down the ladder and then down another ladder to the left. As you do, a couple of dogs will attack. Kill them and shoot the button in front of you to raise the crate. Kill the dog in here and open the safe to the left for gold bars valued at 3000g. Return up the second ladder you jumped down, and then drop down the opposite side. Help Sheva mop up any remaining dogs, then head up the stairs until you reach a door. Once inside follow the hallway down the stairs and ladder until you reach the very bottom of the ship. At the foot of the stairs you will find a weapon crate containing a shotgun [Jail Breaker]. Continue down the hallway and open the door for a story-related scene. After the scene open the door and run into a large indoor room. Below you and in front of you is a small army of majini whom you will need to contend with before continuing any further. Take cover behind the railing in front of you and kill any of the majini you can see. After you have killed a couple, an alarm will sound and they will become aware of your presence. Stay in cover, and clear the area below as best you can. Be careful however as some of the melee enemies will venture up onto your level to take a swing at you whilst you are least expecting it. Once you have destroyed 5-6 of the enemies below, exit cover and follow the catwalk to the left, jump down the ladder around the corner and take cover behind the crate in front of you. If there are any bad guys left, eliminate them from here. Once clear, head past the large crates and immediately take cover behind the small crate in front of you and a little to the left. As you do this, a crate in front will open and a melee guy will pop out. At the same time, two grenadiers will spawn on the catwalk up to your right – in the area where you entered the room. Move up to the next crate to your left, and look up into the open crate to shoot another melee/grenade guy. As you try to pass this crate, a quick scene will play showing enemies entering from the left, behind some crates and another crate in front of you and to the left opening for business. You will also need to keep your eye out for enemies climbing a ladder and emerging from a small maintenance duct to the left. Shoot the shield guy as soon as the scene ends, then immediately look to the duct to the left and soot a couple of enemies as they climb out. Focus back on the crate in front of you and to the left and kill the machine gunner. Finally pop the guys behind the crates in front of you and to the left. When the immediate area is clear, jump down the ladder into the maintenance duct. Head around the first corner and kill the guy, around the next corner is another enemy, kill him and turn again, this time a melee guy will lunge at you, kill him and he will become a Cephalo. Turn into the final corridor before the ladder and shoot the machine gunner at the end. As you approach the ladder, one final majini will jump down to accompany you, shoot him and he will transform into a Davulia. Climb the ladder and look to the right. Eliminate any of the bad guys who you missed earlier. Then, head towards the crates in the open area here. As you approach the middle of the room here, a gatling gun majini will come down the stairs. Immediately take cover behind the crates in the middle of the room and open up on him when you have a clear shot. He will move down the stairs and attempt to come around the crates to get you. Pick up the land mine on the crate on the left side of the room and then take the opportunity to run up the stairs behind him when he is not firing. Pick up the land min here as well. Now plant the land mines and lure him into them and use machine gun fire to the face to keep up the damage. Always stay in cover as his big gun will make short work of you if it connects and continue to kite him around the room in a big circle until he drops. Pick up Tanker key card A from his body, then climb the stairs to the right of the locked door and jump down to open the safe here for Tanker key card B. Return to the locked door and using the key cards, you may proceed. As soon as you enter the room, immediately take cover behind the crates in front of you. There are three majini armed with rocket launchers. Stay in cover and only pop out to shoot one of the rocket guys when you have a clear shot. Once all three are dead, loot their bodies for [Dead Bride’s necklace] and make your way up the stairs and down the hallway behind them. Enter the elevator to complete the level. *************************** *** Main Deck *** [ACT-15] *************************** BSAA Emblems: 0 Treasures: Chalice (Gold) Weapons: 0 To start with, head down the stairs and into the clearing on the deck filled with bodies. After the cinematic, you will have to follow button prompts at the bottom of the screen as you escape. Once the scene is over, Chris and Sheva will have made their way inside. Make your way through the hallways, keeping your eye on the bottom of the screen. On 4-5 occasions you will be forced to duck via a button prompt to avoid death from above. Avoid any obstructions in the hallways and head through the side cabins to continue on. After you head up the first set of stairs, turn into the first door on the left and look in the lockers for treasure [Chalice (Gold)]. The next hallway has a group of dead bodies lying on the ground. To avoid being ambushed, shoot at the bodies on the ground one at a time and eliminate the hostiles individually if possible. One of these guys is a heavily armoured Davulia, so if you have a grenade, now is a good time to use it – pick up the bridge key from its corpse. Once all of the majini are down, continue on. Use the card to access the bridge and then head up the stairs one the opposite side of the bridge room. Once outside, head around the corner and out the gate to fight the boss. == Boss: Uroboros Aheri == The monstrocity on the deck below you is big, bad and has tentacles that it likes to hit you with. Most of the attacks are avoidable using on screen button prompts. For the most part, these attacks will consist of large swings from side to side, and downwards jabbing attacks similar to Irvings tentacles. It will also fire out lots of black fluid onto the platform with you. They will come to life and jump on you, if they do they will do a fair chunk of damage and slow your movements down considerably. There are two levels to the deck here, the second is accessible via a pair of ladders on either side of the area. I prefer the bottom area on the ledge closest to the boss. In the centre of the bottom area, you can use the bridge keycard on a control panel here to open a small door and gives you access to a satellite laser painter. Pick it up and head to the front of the platform closest to the boss. Like its predecessors, its weak spots are the glowing orange parts, in this case - the large balls at the end of his tentacles. Use the laser painter to target the orange balls one at a time until a scene plays and a giant orange core will appear from the centre of the boss, target this with the beam until it retreats again. As it does, four tentacles will emerge to replace the two that were damaged earlier. The four tentacles move around a lot more than the pair that started the fight, so give Sheva the laser and set her to attack, she is much more accurate with that bad boy and wont have too much trouble getting rid of a tentacle or two for you. Whilst Sheva is lasering away, pull out your most powerful weapon and attack the weak ends of the tentacles. When you get the opportunity, you may also want to sweep the deck and destroy the miniature uroboroses. Eventually when the four tentacles are dead, the core will reveal itself again to cop a pounding. Hit it once more with the laser and it will be 2/3 dead. For the final part of this fight, the boss will revert back to the two tentacle phase. Repeat the tentacle smashing and core blasting process until it finally explodes into nothingness. After the scene, the level will finish. *************************** *** Bridge Deck *** [ACT-16] *************************** BSAA Emblems: 0 Treasures: 2x Power Stone, 3x Dead bride's necklace, Diamond(Marquise) Weapons: 0 Head through the gate in front of you and enter the door around the corner. Once inside, move to the elevator where you started the previous level and go down. After a quick scene, move to the railing in front of you and eliminate any majini you can see. Follow the walkway to the left and jump down the ladder at the end. Jump down the next ladder to the left and shoot the melee majini in the water here. Exit the water via a ladder on the right. As you climb up onto the platform, there should be two melee guys in the immediate area, if you can locate them right away, look behind the pillars in the centre of the room. Kill them and continue up the stairs. Continue around this walkway until you reach a control panel. Pull it. This will open the blast door in front of you, but will also alert a ton of majini to your presence. Stay next to the control, but look down the walkway you used to get here. A few baddies will round the corner, eliminate them. Move forward to the first corner and look up, there is a platform up here and a few majini are likely to jump down from here to attack you. Kill them and fight your way down to the pillars in the centre of the room. Once the room is clear, take cover behind the pillars here and look through the opening blast doors, between the bars, try to murder as many of the hostiles as you can. As the door finishes opening, look to the centre of the next room, in front of the blast door, as a rocket launcher majini will appear here. Take him out ASAP, and then jump across the gap into the next room. Shoot the guys on the balconies on either side of the room and make your way to the catwalk at the very top of the area. Look in the left room here for a pair of proximity mines, which will be very handy for the next phase. Once the area is reasonably clear, return to the main area and move towards the switches in the middle of the platform. Before you pull them, plant some landmines between the barrier behind you and the door in front of you. Now, as you pull the switches to open the door, a pair of reapers will drop down to attack you. They should step on the mines and be stunned for a second, use the opportunity to toss some grenades at the pair of them and lay down some heavy fire on their weak spots. Try to kill at least one of them. As the other comes for you, jump down the ladder to the left of the door. Lure the reaper/s down the ladder and to the left, jumping over the barrier and down the stairs to the left, this will take you to the other side of the room. Simply continue to lead the reapers around in big circles firing at them as much as you can until they are dead. When they die, make your way to the centre of the platform and take cover behind the pillars as the next door opens. As it does, a pair of gatling gun majini will be raised up into the room via elevators. You will need to kill both of these guys for their key cards to access the next area. There is no really easy way to do this, but a tactic that works is to jump down the ladder to the left as soon as the door opens, and get the pair of them to jump across the gap. At the bottom of the ladder, jump over the gap to the right and climb the ladder on the left. Here you will find an armoured machine gun turret. Use this to fire away at them. Eventually they will jump up onto the turret platform with you, and when they do, jump down to the platform below and make your way to the other side of the room. Get them to follow you there, and then run all the way back to the turret again. Repeat until they both hit the deck. Pick up hangar key card A & B from their corpses and head through the door at the back of the room, follow the hallway and use the door at the end to your final boss encounter. == Boss: Wesker == >> Phase 1: This guy can be pretty tough, but the tactic to defeating him is still very similar to what you did in the first fight with him. In fact all of his attacks are the same - he will still shoot at you, which you can often dodge, use nasty melee combos at close range and charge at you from great distances when he sees you. On top of his usual attacks, he does have a few unique attacks for this fight. One of these sees him jumping onto a raised platform at the back of the area and hurling missiles at you, to avoid this, simply hide behind one of the columns scattered around the bottom floor of the hangar. Also as per your previous encounter with him, he is still pretty much invincible when he can see you unless you can manage to counter one of his charges or shoot him when he is unaware of your presence. At the start of the fight you will be on the ground floor of a hangar with a catwalk either side and over the top. Spread around the corners of the bottom area are a set of three switches. Hitting these switches will turn off the lights, which means Wesker cannot see you unless you are pretty close to him. From the start point of the fight, look to the corner in front of you and to the left to see a rocket launcher. Once all the lights are off and Wesker is clueless, pick up the rocket launcher and fire one off at him. If he is unaware of you, he will be unable to avoid it, but will notice it at the last section and catch it right in front of him. Quickly shoot it to explode it, this will cause him to stumble and fall to his knees. Quickly run over to him and grab him. Mash the button at the bottom of the screen whilst Sheva injects him with evil juice. Repeat this process 2-3 times depending on the difficulty level. Unfortunately the rocket launcher has only one shell in it so you will have to find more. There are several scattered around the various crates in the corners of the ground floor and a huge stash of them in the centre of the top most catwalk. When he has been injected enough times, a scene will show and its off to phase two. >> Phase 2: This part of the fight consists of a movie event. All you really need to do is press the buttons at the bottom of the screen when it appears to continue. >> Phase 3: The penultimate event of Resident Evil 5, a fight inside an active volcano - how ominous. Stock up on any items you might need in the immediate area and then head down the small path in front of you. You will only make it a short way before a scene will play. He's still alive. After the scene, turn around and you will see the path in front of you is a different color, look ahead, on the opposite side of the lava for another large rock with the same color. It will wall into the lava below and give you a stepping stone to treasure [Diamond (marquise)]. Run onto the different colored stone and the gorund will fall out beneath you. If you jump across the lava to the left, you will be able to pick up the treasure. Head to the right to continue. Whilst on the same level as Wesker here, he will swing his arm back and forward in front of him and you will be unable to hit him. Getting too close to this arm will cause you to be thrown to your death. Head up the ramp to the raised area. When he is up here he will not perform his sweeping arm attack. Instead he will use punches and swings which can be avoided by button presses. As he climbs the ramp here, his weak spot will be revealed - a glowing spot in the centre of his back. Damage it if you can whilst Sheva pops him from a distance. When enough damage has been done, he will jump across to where Sheva is and chase after her. Quickly jump down to the path below the raised area and follow it to the very end. There is a rock there. Turn to the left and continue to shoot Wesker as he goes for Sheva, and when he gets pissed and starts throwing stuff at you, interact with the rock and follow the onscreen prompts to build a bridge for sheva to join you. When Sheva arrives, get back up onto the raised, central platform. As Wesker makes his way up, give any ammo you dont need to Sheva along with any healing items, just to make things a little easier. When Wesker jumps up onto the platform you will need to lead him around in big circles. Avoid all of his melee attacks. Occsionally after an attack, he will stick his arm in ther air as he does, quicly run behind him and pop a few rounds into the weak spot in the middle of his back. When he crouches, run back and away from him. He will let out a roar and a large number of tentacles will emerge from the ground around him and start spinning really fast. Do not approach him now or you will be killed. As the hurricane of Uroboros calms down, a quick scene will show a new weak spot in the middle of his chest. Use everything you have to put as much hurt on his weakness as possible. Repeat the process 3-4 times until a scene plays to end the mission. During said scene, watch out for one final sneaky button prompt event before the credits start rolling. Egg on your Face Description: Defeat a Majini with a rotten egg. How to: Equip a rotten egg and whip it out with the Aim button, and toss it with the fire button. Turn the difficulty to casual and throw an egg at a majini. It should kill them instantly if it hit them. To find a rotten egg, you can pick them up at random off bad guys toward the end of the game. The Works (15g) Description: Chain the maximum number of combos together in one go. How to: You need to shoot an enemy until it flinches, then connect with a melee attack, if Sheva follows up with a melee attack, you can hit them one more time to unlock the achievement. This becomes much easier if you remove all of Sheva's weapons before entering a level. Ride the Lightning Description: Defeat a Majini using the electric current from a transformer. How to: At the end of the first mission you will enter a survival mode, when the executioner majini comes and breaks down the gate, head past him, look up and you should see some power boxes up on the power poles. Shoot them down. Wait for some majini to get close to it and shoot it while its on the ground. This should zap them and kill them to unlock the achievement. Stop, Drop and Roll (15g) Description: Defeat 3 Majini at once by setting oil canisters on fire. How to: Find some oil barrels and lure a group of majini towards them when they are close, shoot the barrel and light them on fire.This is easiest to do at the end of the first level "Civilian Checkpoint"or on the "Ship Deck"level just before the Chaingun Majini encounter. Drive By (30g) Description: Stop an armored truck by taking out the driver. How to: In the mission "Savanna" kill the driver of one of the armored trucks that comes to get you. Simply fire at the armored window closest to you and when it falls off the driver will be open to fire. Go Into the Light (15g) Description: Defeat 2 enemies with one flash grenade. How to: The esiest way to do this is to start up the level "Caves" head through the level to the first spider encounter. Toss the flash grenade when they are nearby and it will instantly kill them. Achievement unlocked! Heart Stopper (15g) Description: Defeat a certain enemy by stabbing it in the heart. How to: In the mission "Underground garden" Wait for one of the lickers to come at you and unleash with a shotgun, this should blow it backwards onto its back. Quickly run up to it and use the button prompt to stab it in the heart. Be the Knife (60g) Description: Deflect a bow gun arrow with your knife. How to: Clear an enemy and leave a single archer behind. Stand in his line of sight and pull out your knife. Mash the swing button as the arrow gets close and you should deflect it, if not try again. it may take a few attempts to get the timing right, but when you do it will pop for you. Fireworks (15g) Description: Shoot an enemy Molotov cocktail, dynamite stick or hand grenade. How to: At many areas during the game, you will see enemies trying to drop one of the above listed objects on you. Simply shoot it while it is still in their hand to earn the achievement. Meat Shower (15g) Description: Defeat 3 majini with one grenade or proximity bomb. How to: The easies way to do this is during the Executioner survival event at the end of "Public Assembly". Wait for a bunch of enemies to charge at you and plant a proximity mine. Exploding Heads (15g) Description: Pull off 20 headshots. How to: Shoot lots of majini in the head, sometimes the heads will explode. After 20 hed explosions, the achievement will unlock. Baptism of Fire Description: Defeat 3 Majini at once with a drum or gas tank explosion. How to: Shoot an explosive barrle near a group of majini. There are many places to do this, the easiest is probably in the mission "Storage Facility", after dealing with the truck on the bridge, loads of majini will run at you and the bridge is lined with explosive barrels. Bad Blood (15g) Description: Inflict a set amount of damage to your greatest enemy. How to: At the end of the level "Uroboros Research Facility there are two bosses. This achivement can be obtained on the first one. You will have seven minutes to damage him enough for him to retreat. if you can chase him away before the 7 minutes are up you will get this one. Masters of Removing (15g) Description: Work together to save someone special. How to: At the end of the level "Uroboros Research Facility there are two bosses. This achivement can be obtained on the second one. You will have to pull an object out of its chest. How to: Shoot an enemy in the legs and chest until they flinch, then run in and hit the button prompt to give them a melee attack. repeat 20 times for the achievement. A Cut Above (15g) Description: Defeat 5 enemies with the knife. How to: Pull out your knife and go to town on majini. Alternatively, you can kill the spiders on the walls in the "Caves" and "Worship Area" levels for credit towards this achievement. Cattle Prod (15g) Description: Defeat 30 enemies with the stun rod. How to: Buy the stun rod from the shop and use it to lay the beat down on 30 majini. Set the difficulty on Amatuer and one swing with this bad boy, will be an instant kill for most baddies. ======================== == Sheva Achievements == ======================== Who do you trust? (30g) Description: Build up a certain level of trust with your partner. How to: Every time Sheva does something for you in game, thank her by hitting the 'B' button. This can be when she saves your life, heals you or gives you ammo. Do this enough and eventually this will unlock for you. A Friend in Need (15g) Description: Save partner 10 times when HELP is displayed. How to: When dying is displayed on the screen, you will need to go and help Sheva. Hit the B button nearby to help her. Do this the required amount of times to unlock the achievement. Life Saver (15g) Description: Save partner 10 times when DYING is displayed. How to: When dying is displayed on the screen, you will need to go and help Sheva. Hit the B button nearby to revive her. Do this the required amount of times to unlock the achievement. ============================= == Collection Achievements == ============================= Egg Hunt (15g) Description: Find all 4 types of eggs. How to: You will need to find a White, Brown, Gold and Rotten egg. The easiest place to find the first three types is to load up the "Marshlands" level. Head to the chicken farm in the middle of the area and chase the chickens around. After a while they will drop eggs. There are also quite a few eggs lying around the island. The rotten eggs are a bit more difficult - they are rare random drops off enemies later in the game. If you are having trouble finding one, try turning up the difficulty. They're ACTION Figures (30g) Description: Collect all the figurines. How to: Purchase all of the unlockable figurines in the Bonus Features section of the menu. To do this you will need to meet certain unlock criteria - to unlock everything, you will need to complete the game on all four difficulties, find all 30 BSAA Emblems and Earn an S Rank on every level.
