Short Walkthrough

by mast3r ch33f 93

welcome to my (master ch33f 93)
halo 3 walkthrough,
this was inspied by my campaaign playthrough.

,,,lets go :)

Sierra 117Walk it OffFollow the group along the path. Don't run too far ahead of everyone else, they provide welcome firepower.

When you get to the waterfall, turn to the right. The first group of enemies will be just ahead.

The groups you'll be fighting consist of a Brute leading a squad of Grunts. If you take out the Brute, the Grunts are easy to mop up. As you move into the area they occupied, you'll encounter fire from a second group off to your left. Destroy them all and follow the red flares on the ground.

As you're moving up this canyon, you'll see an image of a woman flicker on the screen. This is Cortana, the Master Chief's AI companion from the first two Halo games, who now appears to be going rampant (crazy). You'll receive several of these messages throughout the game.

The next area has Jackal snipers on the cliffs. You have options:

You can pick them off with a carbine or battle rifle.
You can also stay to the left side, directly under the cliff where you're out of their field of fire. Take out the enemies on the lower level, then head up the ramp at the back and take them out at close range.
Head through the pass. Red flares will mark the way. On the other side you'll encounter some sleeping grunts If you shoot, they'll all wake up. Jump down and use a melee attack on them (B button). This lets you kill them without waking up the others.

On the other side of the pool of water is a group Jackals lead by a Brute. Remember the Jackal shields are impervious to attack, so aim for an area not covered by the shield, or jump behind them.

You'll find some Covenant weapon crates with some needlers here.

In the next area you'll see a Marine in the hands of a Brute. It is actually possible to save this marine if you are quick and careful (ie needlers & grenades are out). Fight you way through this area and exit using the bridge you first saw the Brute on.

You'll see a Pelican get shot down. In the area in front of you, along the beach is another Covenant squad. Be careful when attacking them, because there is a large enemy force to the left of them. On higher difficulty levels there are Jackal Snipers across the river who are will slaughter you and your allies, if you aren't quick.

The covenant will have the high ground, so try sweeping around to the right as much as possible. If you fall into the water, you can just swim out.

Move forward, there is a machine gun turret in the crashed Pelican.

Yellow armored Brute and snipers. Pick up one of their Beam Rifles to use in the next section.

Charlie FoxtrotFight the Jackal snipers in the ridge. Then the Jackals on the bridge.

Quid Pro QuoThis section takes place in one area, a dam facility. There are human captives held in the small building near where you saw Johnson in the cut scene.

Start with a long range weapon and take out as many enemies as you can. When you're ready (or out of ammo) you can jump down off the ledge, or take the path to the right down.

The dam itself has to passages: the top of the dam and a hallway directly below it. The upper passage has Covenant troops on the far side. The best strategy may be to thin them out with a long range weapon on top, then take the lower hallway to pop up behind them.

Fight your way to the building with the captives. Soon after you enter, a Brute Chieftain with a gravity hammer will attack. You don't want to face him inside the building where his melee weapon is most effective. As soon as you free Johnson, leave the building so you'll have some room to maneuver when fighting the Chieftain.

You'll then be attacked by a Phantom. It will bombard the area with plasma cannons. Take cover in one of the buildings or inside the dam. You'll also have to fight off a few waves of attackers, but the Phantom is the big problem. The good news is all you have to do is stay alive until a friendly Pelican arrives and takes out the Phantom.

You can then head over to the top of the dam and hop in the back of the hovering Pelican to end the level.

Crow's Nest Know Your RoleIn this level you can open doors by pressing RB. Try to remember where you've gone, because you'll be backtracking quite a bit on this level.

Grab a pair of weapons from and head out the door and down the hallway. Remember you can borrow weapons from Marines, so be sure to grab a battle rifle.

You're first fight will be down a hallway filled with vehicles. The exit is the first passage on the right, but you can check out the Easter egg at the end of this hall.

At the end of this first hall is the Red vs. Blue Easter Egg. Just go to the end of the hall and you'll find a Marine trying to get into a locked door. He doesn't have the password and the Marine inside is giving him a hard time. The dialogue changes depending on the difficulty level.

Fight your way forward to the main hangar. Here you'll see a Phantom dropping off Covenant troops. There will be several waves.

The hangar has two machine guns you can use. Neither has a field of fire that fully covers the hangar, so feel free to pull one or both off and walk around with it.

Eventually a Pelican will land and pick up the Marines. You can't get into the Pelican, you still have work to do. Head back to the control center. If you can, try to pick up a pair of SMGs.

Just before the control center, you'll come to a fenced off area, and on the other side is a huge group of Drones. SMGs work well against Drones. Do your best to shoot them through the fence. Whatever you do, don't jump into the group and try and take them on in the main room.

Gift with PurchaseWhen this level starts, you'll be in the ops center and you'll see a very large bomb. Remember this bomb, because you'll have to come back here.

The first fight of this section takes place in a garage. Several Brutes, including one armed with a gravity hammer, are above you. They are in a good position; there is little room for you to maneuver. You do have the element of surprise, so use your most powerful weapon (probably a grenade) to initiate contact.

Exit the room and hop down the hatch you see.

You'll then be in a long hallway with chutes on either side. As you pass these chutes, Drones come out of them and attack you. If you stay and fight, you'll have enemies on both sides of you. The best thing to do is just run through.

Meet up with the Arbiter (if playing single player).

Next up is a long, hard fight against mostly Brutes. Take it slow, let your allies do some of the work and make sure you're using the best weapons you can pick up.

Gather up what weapons and ammo you can, along with any surviving Marines. Now is a good time to give your Marines better weapons through trading. When you're ready, hop into the freight elevator and take it up. The activation button is on the middle of the wall inside the elevator. When you get to the top, you'll have to deal with some more Brutes. Some of them have jetpacks.

You'll soon meet up with the Pelicans. But as soon as everyone else leaves, you'll get a message that the Covenant has disarmed the bomb. You'll have to go back and arm it again.

Last One Out, Get the Lights,
When you start, there is a battle rifle next to truck you can pick up.

You'll have an arrow that will point you the way back to the ops center. You'll have to fight mostly Grunts and Jackals, but there are 5 turrets along this path, so tear them out and use them.

At the ops center you'll see a cut scene with the Prophet of Truth. You'll then have to fight a group of Brutes, including a Brute Chief armed with a fuel rod gun.

Once the bomb is armed, you can now escape. You don't have to fight anyone unless you want to. They'll mostly ignore you and you can just run out. When you get back to the elevator the level ends.

Tsavo Highway,
Full Contact SafariIt's dark, so use your flashlight (D-pad). Here you'll find a group of wounded and weary Marines. Take them with you as you evacuate the base.

There are two Warthogs here, one with a turret and a six-person model. Hop in the one with the turret.

If you're playing multiplayer, have one person shoot and the other drive. If you're playing single player you now have a choice. You can hop on the Warthog turret, but your fellow marines are horrible drivers. You'll have fun shooting everything, but you'll want to shoot your driver after a while. You could drive and let one of the marines shoot, but that's not quite as fun. You'll get there faster though. The choice is yours.

Remember that if the Warthog flips over, you can walk up to it and flip it back.

You'll have to deal with several groups of enemies, including some Covenant sniper posts and turrets.

You'll come to a tunnel entrance that's blocked by a blue shield. You can't shoot through it, but you can walk through it. Walk through and destroy the power generator on the other side. You can now drive your Warthog through the tunnel.

On the other side of the tunnel is a bridge that has two gaps. You can jump the first one with the Warthog, but the second is too far. Jump down to the ground and climb the ladder back up to the road.

The Broken PathIn the first area you'll find some Marines fighting the Covenant.

A Phantom will arrive and drop off some Covenant troops.

Head for the base at the top of the hill. Use the sniper rifle and turret you find there and fight off the first wave.

There will be a second wave, then a Wraith. You can either try to hijack it (be sure to snipe the gunner first) or you can take it out with the fuel rod gun if you still have that. Hijacking the Wraith, though difficult, is recommended because it makes the next section much easier. There is a Warthog here if you need it.

The next area is a fight against a group of Choppers. Past them are two Wraiths. If you have a Wraith of your own, this fight is easy. If you don't, then you'll have to use the fuel rod gun. If you don't have that, your best bet is to use the Warthog turret to slowly shoot them up.

There is one more shield in your way. Again, take out everything in the area, then walk through the shield and destroy the generator on the other side.

On the other side you'll link up with the Pelicans.

The Storm ,
Ghost Town,
Head inside the building. Fight your way through the hall. There is a battle rifle you should pick up if you don't already have a long range weapon. At the end of the hall there is a switch on the wall that opens the main gate. Open the gate to let your allies in. They can do most of the fighting, just pick off any enemies you can with the battle rifle.

There is a Ghost here you can grab, or you can take your Warthog. The Ghost has the advantage that you can drive and shoot at the same time.

As soon as you open the door to the next area, bad guys attack. You have to take out a bunch of Ghosts and an anti-aircraft Wraith. Shoot the Ghost drivers, and use grenades against the Wraith. Most of the Ghost drivers are Grunts, so it's easier to shoot them than to destroy their Ghosts. Stay away from the Wraith until the Ghosts are destroyed. Its easier to take them on separately than all at once.

When you get to the Wraith, take out the plasma gunner first. You can then get close to it and board it. You can't hijack the Anti-Air Wraiths, but use the same procedure and it will be destroyed.

You'll have to take out one more Wraith that's dropped in your path by a Phantom.

There is a sniper rifle on the wooden building on the far side of the walkway.

Go in the door and you'll encounter a swarm of Drones. There is a machine gun turret that you should use as much as you can, then take it with you.

Meet up with a group of Marines. There are four Mongooses here. Hop on one and honk the horn so a buddy will hop on the back to shoot things for you.

In the next area you'll have another fight against Choppers and an Anti-Aircraft Wraith. Your allies have rocket launchers, so just keep moving and they should be able to get all of the vehicles. Remember that Marines have unlimited ammo in their weapons, so just keep your gunner alive and you'll get through it.

JudgmentTry to upgrade your vehicle. If you can find a Ghost, take that.

Up ahead you'll encounter a Scarab. This is a massive moving fortress that will take quite an effort to destroy.

Approach the Scarab, but keep moving to avoid its shots. Stay away from the water. If a blast pushes you into the water it will kill you. The safest place is directly under it. You first have to destroy its legs. Aim for the lower leg joint. You are aiming at the right place when your target reticule turns red. Keep shooting until the Scarab falls.

Now board the Scarab. You'll have to defeat some Brutes and Grunts inside. Once those are cleared out, find the core. It looks just like you'd think a power core should look like. Shoot the white light in the center until it turns red. Once it does, you'll want to get away as soon as possible, because the whole thing is going to explode.

Go up the slope and link up with the Marines there. Follow them to their base and grab whatever weapons and ammo you can.

Move through the garage and take out the Brutes you find there.

Just outside you'll find two Hunters. Don't fight them outside because of the snipers. Lure them inside. Hunters are powerful enemies who are only venerable to attack on the red portions of their backs. You'll spend most of the fight maneuvering around behind them. Plasma grenades or the Brute shot works well against them. If you have the sniper rifle, you can back off and wait until they forget about you, then snipe them in their backs.

You'll now have to fight your way through a large open area. You'll encounter mostly Brutes, so take it slow. If you still have the sniper rifle, save a couple of shots for the Brute chief.

There is a turret you can use along the way.

Head for the giant Covenant anti-aircraft gun. Get directly beneath it. After the gun fires, you'll see a white orb. Shoot it repeatedly to destroy it

Once the gun is destroyed the level will end and you'll see a cut scene.

Floodgate It Followed Me Home,
In this section you'll be fighting flood as you press through the city. The energy sword and shotgun are good anti-Flood weapons.

If you're having trouble with this section and you're going single player, you can always let the Arbiter do all the work for you. Just advance to contact then back off. The Arbiter will take out most of the bad guys while you shoot them from a distance. If the Arbiter dies, he'll just respawn.

Fight your way down the street. You'll encounter a group of Marines that will help you out, until they get taken over by the Flood. At that point they'll attack you, so you'll have to kill them.

Move forward to the building and go inside. You'll be greeted with a large wave of Flood.

Shadow of IntentMove forward and you'll see a hole in the floor. Don't jump through just yet. There is flamethrower nearby.

Fight your way up the hill. You'll encounter some Elites that will lend a hand. Remember that these too can be taken over by the flood.

You'll eventually get to the Flood infected ship. Hop in through this hatch and into the ship. The Arbiter stays behind.

Infinite Devil MachineRemember pressing the D-pad turns on your flashlight. There are almost no enemies here. Shooting the bulbs on the wall however will releases flood spores.

Go to the blue console, get Cortana.

The Ark,Installation 00,Follow the marines until they stop near a Covenant outpost. You can use your sniper rifle to take out the bad guys from a distance. They won't be aware of your presence until your first shot, so be sure to make it a good one. Try for a headshot on one of the Brute chiefs. There is sniper rifle ammo in the outpost, so take out as many as you can at range.

Head through the tunnel, and you'll encounter another unaware group. Take out the Brute leader with a sniper rifle shot.

Once you have that group eliminated, a Phantom will drop off a pair of Hunters. The sniper rifle or plasma grenades to the back are both good strategies.

Go up the path and deal with one more group. This one is a Brute leading grunts. Again, sniping the leader makes things much
easier,
Go through the tunnel and through the door.
You'll see the wreckage of a Pelican, along with some Covenant troops. Snipe the Brute leader. In the wreckage you'll find a missile launcher.

You'll soon be attacked by a pair of Prowlers Snipe the driver of one, then blast the other with the missile launcher. You'll want to grab one of these vehicles, because you'll be fighting Ghosts and Choppers ahead.

In the next area you'll have to fight three Wraiths and several Ghosts. Use the missile launcher on the first Wraith. Then take out the Ghosts. The last two Wraiths are Anti-Aircraft types, so they are easier to destroy.

Forward Unto DawnHere you'll get a Scorpion, so hop in and let some Marines ride on the outside. Use the tank to escort Guilty Spark to the golden gate. Move forward with your group and blast everything you see.

When you see the Covenant drop ship above the canyon, shoot its engines. You can destroy it with the Scorpion's powerful main gun.

When you get to the door Guilty Spark will open it. Hop out of your tank and walk down the hall and into the large room. Hold RB to extend the bridge.

On the other side, hop in the one of the Scorpions. You'll have to deal with Choppers, Wraiths and a Phantom. Just keep moving and keep shooting.

When the Scarab shows up, head to it. It will shoot at you, and your tank doesn't dodge well, but keep trying. Use the main gun to provide cover fire; each time you hit the Scrab's guns they go offline for a few seconds.

Drive directly under the Scarab and aim for the knee joints. When it crashes to the ground, hop on to the Scarab and destroy the power core. You can use the elevators in the nearby building to help you get onto the Scarab.

There are some grav lifts in the nearby building. If you want to get the Skull later in the level, you'll need one of these.

Head up to the spire using the ramps. You'll have to fight some Brutes and Jackals to get there. At the top is a door, and Guilty Spark will open it for you.

Real Men Don't Read MapsThe first area is a room full of sleeping grunts. If you shoot one, they'll all wake up. Use your melee attack (bash them with your gun). This will kill them without waking up the others.Follow the Arbiter. Fight your way in and use the Cartographer. You'll then split from the Arbiter and follow Guilty Spark.

On your way out you'll encounter Cloaked Brutes listening to the Prophet. They show up on your radar, so keep an eye on that. Go after the Brute Chieftain first. Take his hammer and use it to take out everyone else.

The final battle of the level is against a Brute Chief, jetpack Brutes, and Jackal snipers.

Once you've taken out these guys, a Pelican will show up to give you a ride.

The CovenantTridentYou'll be in combat as soon as you get off the Pelican.

You start this level with the Spartan Laser. Save its limited ammo for the Wraith and the Shade turrets. Once everything here is destroyed, a Pelican will show up with a Warthog.

Fight up to the top of the hill. You'll encounter some ghosts, then a group of grunts dismounted from their ghosts. Kill them before they can mount up.

At the top of the hill, head down the other side. You'll see a whole bunch of enemies, but the best strategy may be to avoid them. Drive all the way around to the right, and go into the tunnel.

There are enemies in the tunnel, so take your time going through.

Head over to the elevator.

At the top of the elevator is a Brute Chief, and Brutes armed with Brute shots. Be sure to pick up the chief's hammer after he's dead.

Press the button that shuts down the shield. Now head back to the entrance. Get in your Warthog, then drive back to the start of the level.

If You Want it Done Right...In this section you'll be flying a Hornet. Spend a little time and get used to the controls. Fly down to the other shield generator.

Your destination has a beam of light shooting into the air. On the way there, you'll have to fight off a number of Banshees. You'll also have to face a Phantom. Use the same move sideways and shoot technique you use with Ghosts. Be sure to stay far away to make it easier to dodge the Phantom's shots.

When you get there, avoid the Anti-aircraft fire from the anti-aircraft Wraiths. Take them out first, then the normal wraiths, then the brutes. Be sure not to shoot up your Elite allies that land.

There is a Fuel rod gun in crate near landing zone. If you can't find it, there are plenty of Brute shots from all the Brutes you killed with the Hornet.

In the main room you'll face a pair of Hunters and bunch of Drones.

Take the elevator to the control room. Here you'll find four invisible Brutes. Remember to use your radar to find them.

Hit the switch and fight your way out. Outside you'll find a Scorpion.

Journey's EndDrive the tank up the hill. You'll have to fight a variety of enemy vehicles, but none of them can stand up to the firepower of the Scorpion. Be sure to take out any snipers too.

At the top, hop in one of the hornets. You'll have to fight the two Scarabs. The Hornet makes this easier than the other times you've fought these things. Shoot the Brutes off the top, then land directly on top of the Scarab. Run down and shoot the power core, then take off again.

When you're done, follow the Arbiter into the building.

RevelationIn this section, the Flood are your friends. Try not to shoot them up too badly.

The first room is filled with Brutes. Take your time and let your Flood friends do most of the work.

The next area has a Brute Chief and his followers. Be sure to grab the Chief hammer. You'll need it in a little while.

Head up the ramp and extend the bridge.

After the scene, you'll be surrounded by Flood who are no longer your friends. Use the gravity hammer to defend yourself.

Go back to the entrance where there is a waiting Pelican to finish the level.

Cortana,Rampant
You'll be fighting through the Flood infected city of High Charity. This level is one long, extended fight. Try to clear out an area completely before moving on. This includes destroying dead bodies that can be reanimated by the Flood. You want to make sure that no one will sneak up behind you.

Try to remember your way through this section; you'll have to backtrack through it to get out.

The crashed Pelican where you start has a shotgun and some other weapons.

The building is surrounded by Flood. Attack them, and fall back. This will let you take them in small groups and prevent you from getting overwhelmed.

Head down the hall to the blue hole. Before you jump down there, grab the energy sword from the dead Elite nearby. Jump through the blue hole.

Keep fighting your way forward.

Pick up Cortana.

Nor Hell a FuryThe new plan is to self destruct the ship.

Backtrack to the central room. You'll have to fight your way there.

Once at the central room, cross the bridge to the console. If you have a deployable cover, put it on the bridge to block the Flood. Activate the console. This will expose four towers. You then need to blow up these towers. Shoot or otherwise attack them with whatever weapon you happen to have.

Head back the way you came. The explosions have sealed the door, but there is a hole in the floor you can use to escape. Don't just jump down there, it's filled with Flood. Try to shoot as many of them as you can before you go down. Grenades work well here.

When you're ready jump down, fight the flood you find here, then fight your way back to the crashed Pelican at the start of the level.

Halo,Full Circle

play this level if you want a death sscene....johnson dies.

Head down the path, to the outside of the tower. The control room (your goal) is at the top of the tower.

Waves of Flood will attack. Try to stay on the high ground. Make your way up the ramp on the back of the tower.

At the top, Guilty Spark will work on opening the door while you hold off the Flood. Use the deployable turrets. There is a structure you can take cover in if your shields run low. Many of these flood carry weapons, so be sure to grab some if you're running low on ammo. Hold out until Spark opens the door.

Go to the control room. Here you'll see a scene that ends with Guilty Spark trying to kill Johnson. When you get control, dodge Spark's laser. It can kill you with one shot if you let it, so be sure to dodge. Don't bother shooting back because you can't hurt him yet.

Johnson will shoot Spark with the Spartan Laser. He'll then give you the laser, and you can now hurt Spark with it. Use the level to kill Spark, and the level will end.

The Way the World Ends(Trivia: the title of this level is a reference to The Cortana Letters, a viral marketing campaign for the first Halo game and the first appearance of the Halo story in any form.)

Get out of the control room. You'll have to fight Flood all the way to the exit of the building. Follow the path to another building. There are some sentinels here and some Flood. Go through this building.

Once you get out the door, make a right and follow the path to the Warthog. The next and final stage of the game is a Warthog speed run. Hop in, and drive like crazy. The ring behind you will start to fall apart, so you'll have to keep going fast to stay alive.

Jump the Warthog directly into the open bay of the waiting ship.

Watch the final cut scene of a memorial for those lost in the war. Don't shut off the game, watch the credits. After the credits are over, there is another scene. It shows the Master Chief and Cortana in the remains of a spaceship. The Master Chief enters a sleep capsule, while Cortana starts a rescue beacon. If you beat the game on legendary, there is one final shot of the spacecraft heading toward Onyx from Ghosts of Onyx the Halo novel.

well supercheaters,i hope you enjoyed my walkthrough..:) more 360 stuff coming soon
