I thought the other answer was abit breif =] so you need a newtgat to be a resident them all you ahve to do is make it eat a chili which you can buy or grow =]

Get a newtgat to eat a chili. Then it will go into a cocoon, wait about 2-5 minutes for it to hatch, and when it comes out it will be a salamango.
