My teenage girl started dating another teen she met from school named Simon Maloney. When she turned into a young adult I waited awhile and now she's at the point of becoming an adult and he still hasn't aged up yet. I have the sims lifespan on normal and story progression enabled and still haven't found a way to age him up. I've also tried to switch to cheat and LT him but that doesn't work on this game/console. I've also tried to use the birthday cake and party to have him blow out the candles but that doesn't work either. Do you know of anyway I can save the NPC sim, to age him up or to make him part of the family? Please help... I've been trying to figure this out for 3 days now.

It is pretty well established that the NPC Sims age at a slower rate than the player-Sims, even when you have your Sims set to age quickly, the ratio remains consistent.
The best advice that we can give you is either be patient or find a different Sim for them to hook up with?
One thing - if they actually marry that NPC Sim the NPC makes the transition to player-Sim and so begins aging at the regular rate.
