Question for The Sims 3 Pets

Ive checked every website possible, and I've tried everything I've read and nothing is working. I have kittens I want to get rid of, theres too many pets to have any kids. I know you can't sell them unfortunately but I've been told you can put them up for adoption via phone, computer, newspaper or by asking a friend or neighbor. Well heres the deal, none of that allows me to put any pets up for adoption. If I try to move to another house, it wont allow me to leave behind the unwanted pet unless I have an adult human stay behind with it, I don't want that. I just want to get rid of the unwanted pets. Someone please tell me the right way to do so. Or at least let me know theyr might be something wrong with my game.

Make a freind and then try again use a charismatic sim to make it easy

Does the Sim have to start out with charisma from first creation and birth, or can I simply make a Sim learn charisma?

Why don't you copy the game and place one in creation mode then use the karma power to make one f the pets human? It's an idea I'm about to execute as I have the same problem. Not like on Pc you can give pets to neibours

Speed up the pet lifespan to brief and they will grow up in about a week, then die.
