Activating Hot Pursuit help?

I have played this game before with my dad and this probably sounds stupid but when your being chased by the cops on free roam in your career, how do you activate the hot pursuit help things that you see on the map to get away from the cops? I have been caught 2 times, one more and I lose my car, so can anyone help?

I think you mean the pursuit breakers if so then you simply need to drive through them, for example if it is a big statue held up by 4 poles driving through two of these poles will cause it to fall across the road and the police should crash into it depending on how close behind you they are.

if you want to find them you just have to:1.press start 2. go to "world map" 3. highlight a close pursuit breaker and set your gps by clicking "A" and your set
