I don't believe that their are any 'best' characters in games like this. I think it is based upon who you are used to the most, who you play with the best and the like.
But, if I remember correctly, the best characters too me were, The Human Torch, for his flying and long range fire attacks, Dead Pool, for his teleportation powers, Captain America, for his strength and close range attack, and Blade for both his long range and close range attacks. Ice Man was also one of my favourites, along with The Thing for his immense strength. Though, these are just my opinion, and might now work for you.

I think lukie is right there is no best team but in my opinion it's doctor strange cause to me he is the most powerful then silver surver cause he is too plus him dna the gud doctor can heal then it's thor sinc well he already is a god and he has super strength and last but not least I choose either ghostrider because it's a chance he can bring you're allies back to life and black panther because he is probably the most skilled on the game

Both of those guys are wrong those guys I mean come on it's wolverine, storm, deadpool, and nick fury or ironman, spiderman, wolverine, and silver surfer! Because they are both awsome!!!! And no I am not a 21 year old who lives with his mom oh no I am only thirteen so stop thinking that!!!!!!! I know this will help ;}
