hi-jacking an anti-air wraith

hey guys im in need of help. i was playing co-op in campaign when1 of the players managed to hi-jack an anti-air wraith on the covenant level. is this possible without a modded xbox and if so plz tell me how?

You ahve to keep hiting the area in front of the turret with the b button and then the driver while pop up then hit him or shoot him
