It is probably glitched. I've had armor glitch onto my profile and stay there before, recon armor glitched onto my offline profile before. It was probably just a freak occurence.

As far as your friend, there is a skull on cortana that doesent really do anything unless you activate it. Im not giving information on how because: 1. Bungie disabled it with last september's update. And 2. If someone from bungie knew I was telling people the details about it they would be really mad. I got in trouble for giving people that info before!
