Date of Question: Feb 6 2008 | Question ID: 109242 Everyone who reads this is probably thinking "what a noob" but I'm actually good at this game....except this part.I need some help to get the "Too Close To The Sun" achievement.Is there any secret to getting it?

Well I got in two places on campaign mode. The first one was with a missile pod where you take down the first scarab. Just before/after the scarab there are banchees flying around. They sometimes come close so you can get a lock.
The other stage was where you first find the spartan laser next to a down pelecon. Once you have taken out the brutes and anti-air wraith look up and there should be a few banchees above. This is harder and took me longer than the other way but it does work. When you run out of shots just revert back to last save.

On the level the storm where you have to take out the two AA wraith there are two missile pods so it's really easy that way.

On the lv the level the Covenent get the sparten lazer at the beginning then play till you get to the third tower

How I got that achievement was I went to the level The Covenant and when I started the level I just lasered the banshees that are flying around in the air.

On the level with the anti-air wraiths there are 2 pods. Use them to blow up a banshee that's flying around

Go to the level the storm and get to the part where you have to blow up the scarub then go to the part werethe transport hog is then get on one of the turrets and look for a banshee. Gl
