Ok, lou is basically the final boss of the game, you beat him, you beat guitar hero 3 on easy. I'd personally recomend the controller for him because there are not alot of continous notes( e.g rapid green notes), if you can't use the controller, pratice over and over again until you get it.The controller as is follows:
Right bottem:green
Right top: red
Left bottem:blue
Left top: yellow
For the ps2/ps3: x= orange
Xbox 360: a= orange

If you can't get the controller I recomend trying songs like through the fire and the flames on easy with no fail cheat on ( check google and type in guitar 3 for the system you own, the cheat is entered at the options>cheats>enter cheat, you have to hold the notes and strum but you have to make sure that the sound doesnt stop or you lose, if no sound plays that means your fx sound is on 0 or your holding more than 2 notes) through the fire and the flames can be obtained by using the unlock all songs or unlock everything cheat or by beating lou on any difficulty. MAJOR NOTE: through the fire and the flames is the hardest song in the game, so don't worry if you mess up.

If you still can't beat him after trying through the fire and the flames, try other songs that have you switch between notes.

When playing lou, good combo's are using the power ups on him when he is playing alot of notes, combos are:
-double notes+ the screen shaking power up ( also makes the notes blink)
-whammy+lefty flip
-double notes+left flip+ screen shaker ( also makes the notes blink) is a killer combo, ( use whammy the lefty, then 5 seconds later user double notes)
-Lefty flip+the power up that makes you strum the note so it goes down( looks like hitting a pole into the ground)

Hope this helped ^.^

To me, the best thing to do is try to get throught the song without using any power ups. Once you can do that, then you get three power ups and use them right in as row. DO NOT USE THEM ALL AT ONCE!!!!!! If you use them all at once, if he lives, you have nothing to hit him with when he has a low rock meter.

Personally, I find that using every power up as you get it works. Oh, and adapting to lefty, as he uses that a lot.
