Date of Question: Feb 7 2009 | Question ID: 138258 I have beat Gears of War,so it is saved on to my hard drive,but I still can't unlock the character's for Gears of war 2. How do I unlock the characters for Gears of war 2,that needs Gears of war saved on my hard drive? |
You have to complete the achievements for some and the others like skorge you just beat the game. RAAM you have to beat gears 1 on insane to get it on gears 2.

You need to go to Xbox live and unlock them and yes you do need the achievements unlocked from the other game.

Yes you need Xbox Live. You need to beat the first act of Gears of War to unlock A. Carmine, get all (or half?) the COG tags to get the achievement Time To Remember and unlock Minh, and beat RAAM on hardcore (doesn't need to be on insane) get the achievement A Dish Best Served Cold and unlock RAAM.

You need to be connected to xbox live, for some reason.
You also need to have the required achievements, not just the save game.

Completing each Chapter in every ACT unlocking that ACT's Achievements, this will enable the Character unlock. Playing Horde or other playable features in Gears of War 2 like Xbox Live or System link will show up these characters for anyone to choose from to play as. It is very simple and at the bottom of the screen it will tell you each time you unlock a character.

You have to play Campaign in Gears of War 2 to unlock each of it's characters, if you are talking about getting your characters unlocked from one to two, you need to have Xbox Live in order to do so.
