It makes it load insanly fast, you wont ever see load screens during campian, any game on the hardrive will just run faster, not nessisary, but if you have lots of room, why not. (you will still need the disk)

It doesn't do anything important.
It speeds the game up slightly, thats it.
It takes up a big chunk of your hard drive, it's still noisy and you still need the disc. I wouldn't bother unless you have a very big hard drive.

The games does speed up a good amount, and it hugely reduces the nose level, all in all, I would say it is worth it if you have a big hard drive, and you could always delete it if need be.

That would allow it to save the disc load time, if that's what your talking about. The only other thing it would do is take up space.
