How do I barter?

No instructions wondering how I effectively barter. I know I need more charisma but how do I go about it?

To barter, you raise your barter skill when you level up, read "Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor" or find the bobble head in Evergreen Mills.
Charisma helps, but it is not neccessary.
Charisma can be raised by a bobble head, the Intense Training Perk, or "Almost Perfect" I think the perk was called, but it's only available with Broken Steel add on

You just put points into the Barter skill. That's it. The higher it is, the less things in stores cost, and the more your stuff sells for. That's pretty much it. You can get bonus points by getting the Charisma Bobblehead or the Barter Bobblehead, or by reading Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor.
