is there only death in fallout 3 ?

I was wondering if in the game fallout 3 when you kill a person or your partner like faweks dies do they stay dead for the entire game or is there like a time limit until they respawn and if so how much time do I have to wait for my partner or someone like moira(survival guide) to come back from the dead if it's possible. Also if it is then can you tell me who is eligible so I don't accidently kill the wrong people (rivet city massacre accident).

Unfortunately they stay dead. So whenever you DO have a follower, make sure to protect them. And if Moira died for you, then you can't complete the Survival Guide.

Followers do not come back to life once you have killed them, there is a way to do this on the PC so that they just get knocked out however it is not possible on the 360. The same goes for Moira you should have got a mission failed message after you killed her.

Try loading to a previous save before you killed her. If not you can't do anything about it unfortunately.

Nearly all characters die and stay dead. (Unless you're using the PC, in which case you can revive them.) The only exception to this rule is characters who are imporant to story (EXAMPLE: Doctor Li, Dad, Harkness, Amada during the Escape! Quest, exc, and when they lose all their health, they're simply knocked out) The same goes for partners. Once they're dead, they're dead for good.

Except for most enemies, as these guys normally respawn after 3 days. The same goes for generic NPCs (Like the Megaton Settlers). But people like Lucas Simms, Uncle Roe, and Dave stay dead for good.

I just restart to my preveus save or right before they are about to die I transport to anothe location

Well I dotn think they respawn because I had Jericho as a follower and he got killed by raiders and I havent seen him since. Heres a list of all the follows but some of them require certain karma levels: Dogmeat,Butch[neutral karma], Charon, sergeant Rl-3[neutral karma],clover[bad karma], Fawkes[good karma], Jericho[bad karma], Star Paladin Cross[good karma] hope this helps
