When you get the quest to find Ian there are three places to go to. He is with the Family in the metro station. In the metro station there is a hidden passageway, so look carefully.

Go in the metro that the guard in Arefu points to you, go in, go roundd the corner, there will be 2 flaming barrels next to a door, inside that room will be a guy wanting sugar bombs, and his guard, they are both Ghouls(You get some pretty good stuff if you kill them, but also lose Karma), in the first room, is an office, there are two other room, one where they must sleep, the other has high radiation with some radiated barrels, in that room with the radiation is a manhole cover, look at it and you can go down it, go down and follow the tracks, when you come to some sandbags with a guy there DO NOT SHOOT HIM (Yet), you will reach them eventually, I advise that you kill the family, the guy who rns it ahs a shishkebab and the schematics for it, I an is in a locked room nearby, sorry I can't remember exactly where, it's a while since I done this mission

Here's a Good Man's Alternative
1#Talk to Vance in the Main Hall,and after a brief conversation hes going to send you to the familys computer,look quickly through it then exit.
2#Go see Karl the Merchant(left side of main hall)ask him if hes seen Ian west,next choose the strengh option(i had 8 in strengh)heGives yu the pass to Ianls room.
3#Go upstairs left hallway all the way to the back,access the computer,unlock door,talk to Ian.
4#Tell Ian his parents are dead,next tell him it doesnt matter what happened in the past,next tell him yu could help him,tell him to read the letter from Lucy his sister,he then agrees to go back home.
5#leave and go see Vance again,dont talk about Ian yet,ask him insted to discuss arefu(alot of options here)
6#ask him to protec arefu in exchange for blood packs,he gives yu a proposal for evan in arefu(go see Evan and give him the proposal,he agrees.
7#Go see Vance one last time about the proposal protection,he sends Alan to protect arefu.
Note!:by doing it this way Vance also gives you the shishkebab schematics as a reward! :D
Not only that but your the new heroe of the day back in arefu,and the family also welcome you as one of theirs with open arms.
