I need Caps!!!!!!

You can get caps by selling junk from the waste lands to people in citys or if you find nuca cola machines all you need to do is take the cola and drink it

Don't worrie about buying guns s much
I have found all my guns by killing people and looting them for there guns
If you do this you will end up selling most of the guns you find and you will get caps that way and the side missions are great ways to get caps ....like there is a side mission in megaton for the guy that takes care of the water pipes if you help him fix the pipes he then offers to buy all the scrap metal you find for a nice amout of caps so get with it and do the missions

It is easy to get caps with the lawbringer perk. You get a finger for each time you kill a raider and talon company merc. I got like 629 fingers and went the the regulator and the gave me 6290 caps for all the figers I turned in. Oh also with the lawbringer perk in the arlington house you will find junders plunker and you can get his finger and sell it for 1000 caps

I agree with RoyPhillips. There is another perk (an evil perk) like Lawbringer, called Contract Killer. For every good character you kill, you get an ear you can sell. However, the Lawbringer perk racks up more caps because there are far more evil characters to kill for fingers than there are good ones.

In the begining tag the skills: explosives, repair, and medicine. Upon leaving the Vault go to Megaton, and talk to Burke (spelling?) and try to get the 500 Cap bonus, if you should fail simply reload the auto-save from when you went into Moriarty's Saloon. That is 1,000 Caps for when you travel to Tenpenny Tower, more then what Simms would pay. . . Then talk to Moriarty, and ask about Dad. Say you don't have 100 Caps and he will send you to kill Silver, and Chem-dealer in Springvale. Go to her place, and ask her to give you all the Caps Moriarty gave her, it's a Speech Challenge so you may have to reload if she declines. After she gives you the 400 Caps, kill her. On her body will be 100 Caps meaning that she didn't give you all of it. Now go to the clinic in Megaton. Talk to Doc Church about people in town. Then either complete the speech challenge, or use your Medicine Skill to persuade him to tell you about Leo's addiction. Confront Leo, complete a speech challenge, and he will give you the key to his stash in the Water Treatment Plant. Grab it for the Caps, about 100, and the Chems for more Caps. While your there talk to Walter about helping out. He'll tell you about leaks in the pipes. Fix all 3 and he'll pay you 200 Caps. Now go to the Brass Lantern. Go left upon entering, and then right. A terminal is in this room. Hack it, very-easy hack, and unlock the floor safe. Inside is 300 Caps. Now you can go to Tenpenny Tower to blow up Megaton, and get your 1,000 Caps, as well as your new Suite. Now you can help out with the Ghoul problem, and earn another 750 Caps if you pass the speech challenge, as well as a Chinese Assault Rifle. You'll have accumulated a large sum of caps by this time.

You should get the Strength Bobblehead in Lucas Simms house b4 blowing up Megaton.
You should probably help Moria Brown with at least Chapter 1 of the Wasteland Survival Guide, so that you can tell her that her idea isn't a good one, and earning the Dream Crusher Perk by completing the speech challenge.
And you should know that if you blow up Megaton, Moria Brown can be found outside Megaton, and is now a Ghoul. You can talk to her but you can only have her repair stuff, meaning that she can serve likef the average wasteland merchant.

The best way to get caps is to kill things, simply put. Early on, you've got to avoid bigger fights, and it's probably best to use melee weapons since your kill per bullet ratio is likely to be terribly low. Raiders especially should be your targets (there are tons of them north of Megaton on a bridge and in and around Super Duper Mart). Lure them around corners and go into VATS to avoid taking any damage. Combine a couple of suits of Raider armor and it should sell for 100+ caps per good conditioned suit. Of course, the guns and ammo they may have will help as well. Later in the game, Super Mutants around the Mall and Black Talons are all good prey. But especially when you start messing with a certain group.. Plasma Rifles will earn you 1000+ caps per for a good one. Of course, fixing pipes around Megaton is good too, as was mentioned above. You can also bring that guy any scrap metal you might find for some caps. Save up Nuka Cola Quantum, Pre-War Books, and Sugar Bombs as they are all involved in quests that net you caps and-more importantly-don't use up perks. It also helps if you pick up and sell everything that's not bolted down, if you're patient.

I do 3 things to get caps, loot the wasteland (take out raiders, enclave outposts and patrols and take the valuables) repair them as I can to get them in good condition them sell them. Another way thats helped me reach my 50000+ cap fortune is buy selling/doing things for certain characters. There are several people in the wasteland that will pay you for certain items, as well as give you XP in some cases, asuming you also have the expansions keep a look out for these items.

There are probably more, either I just can't remember them all or I haven't found some yet.

The last thing I do is collect fingers for the Law Bringer perk and bring Super Mutant blood samples back to Tristian (or whatever that Brotherhood guys name was, it's close to that) who gives you 50 caps a piece, and you find them on every Super Mutant you kill. (you can only do the super mutant thing if you've beaten Broken Steel)

Well, if youre a high level, this is a easy way to get a ton of caps , no catch. im at like level 10 and it works.

First, get a Sniper Rifle. Then go to the Washington monument and stand far away from it, but close enough to see the Brotherhood of Steel guys. Target the BOS guys and snipe them. It only takes one shot, maybe 2.
loot their armor and take the holotag, its important. Go to the Citadel and talk to scribe Jameson. she'll give you 100 caps for each of those holotags. this cheat gives you XP, caps, armor, and every once in a while the scribe gives you something cool. I hope this helped!

well first if you need caps and you are not level 20.then when you are leveling up to level 12 there is a perk were you will find caps EVERYWERE and there is a perk were you find ammo EVERYWERE so there is your answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I did in the vault at the beginning on quest escape, grab EVERYTHING YOU CAN and all the jumpsuits, radroach meats and armor from gaurds and when you walk out of the vault go to the craterside supply and sell her everything and then buy some stimpaks and then go to the super duper mart and try not to kill the raiders save them for lawbringer and walk into the store and go right and go through the door and then grab all the goods and then go back to moira and talk to her and then ask about the wasteland guide and ask about super duper mart and tell her then go to moriartys about silver and get 400 caps and then go to him and get the dad info and then go back and complete the guide (will take some time) and then go to disarm the bomb. And afterwards you get a butler that gives you pure water and go to tenpenny and go to the balcony through the other suite and go through the empty suite balcony door and their should be a butler in there and he will give you all the services including water and you over time can get hundreds of bottled water and then sell it over all your dealers and merchants. One of my biggest dealers is the one near the robot factory and the queen ant woman can't remember the town but it's northeast. They are tied with the merchants

If any of you people lost or forgotten there bb gun in the beginning of the game there is one in rivet city and if you kill cheif gastovo at tenpenny tower he has a key to a locker outside with one in it and if you go to the minefeild there is another one next to a broad cast tower

Have a high sneak skill or the Chinese stealth armor from Operation anchorage and steal merchants caps they normally have around 300 or 400 caps each and sell the other stuff they have on them but be careful of the caravan guards if you don't have a good weapon

The best place to go is the first station in following his footsteps , as long as you have fortune finder perk you'll get tons of caps. Also out side meresti station there's a raider settelment that you can loot for mines and ammo

I have had tons of caps before but I spent them all on weapons and repairing but the best thing to do is if you know moira at craterside supply at megaton go to her look at her things and buy the best thing you can see which is the highest value buy it (if you have enough caps) then sell it again and again and again and soon enough youll have loads of caps!

If you want some caps then folllow these simple instructions 1. Loot some bodies and take all the stuff they have(assault rifle,missle launcher) and sell them to a shop owner. 2. First sell the highest one with the highest value then the second highest value one and so on. 3. If you go back to the shop keeper she probaly wont have that much caps as she did have so wait 4 days and go back to her and she will have more caps so as you come in you if there is a desk or table push her somewhere behind it and pickpocket he/she without being detected and take her caps or pickpocket he/she and get a key to their supplies and take whatever there is (mostly the caps) and then wait enougher 4 days and he/she will have more caps so sell all the things you stole from their supplies and sell all them.
