After you complete most of the mission before you go up against pasternak if you look at your radar there is an aircraft flying to the right away from the return line. What is that aircraft? Can you reach it?

I could be mistaken, but I believe that is the Ace available in Expert and Ace difficultly levels whom you can kill for the SP paint scheme.
Actually I can correct it because I just found it. Took me forever. When I played it I completed the airfield and two air-air operations first. Next I was doing the marigold operation and after you start fighting the ships and aircraft inside the bay past the bridge look around the Ace is name Valet. He's an F-14 Super Tomcat. He's a little hard to find but you can get him.
That is the main ace team (dont remember the name) that pasternak tell to break off and go back to base, after he says he'll take you by himself in the cutsence.
