When you have a gun equipped try and jump shot enemies as it is very accurate but also because enemies rarely hit you while you are in mid-air which means youre keeping those valuable studs instead of dying. If you are outnumbered it is often a good tactic to use Indie's whip to disarm enemies and take their guns. It also a good tactic to often switch characters as this is a good way to avoid incoming fire. It is often a good tactic to take out the enemy officers that throw grenades and also the bazooka troopers as these are the main cause of being killed.
When you are close to falling off a cliff try and switch characters by pressing Y so the computer controlled character dies instead of you. If you are playing two player you can obviously not do this. A good tactic while playing 2 player is that when you come up to an area which requires a lot of jumping and if you die you will fall to your death is to get one player to drop out and let the other (preferably the best) go on until you get past the area then the other player can join. This saves lots as when both players try they will continuously die while if you played one player you would lose virtually no studs as you can use the computer controlled player as bait.
Remember to try and collect every stud as even the silver studs help towards true adventurer.
Well stand about two feet at most (no more or else you won't reach)anyway press B to whip and it should work if it does'nt try going slightly closer
