This FAQ specialises on the shopping side of True Crime NYC. It was birthed from the search for a bike shop (Which I have yet to find!) You will find here a list of all shops and items available to buy - Feel free to use as a check sheet for completion. This guide is based on the XBOX version, however no doubt it is cross platform. Enjoy with an open mind. There are NO details of patches / bugs / fixes regarding the PC version. No technical support here I'm afraid.. GAME ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Shopping falls under the restrictive time of day feature. The best way to shop is to do missions at night and shop all day. * By using Taxi's you can cram more shopping into a single day. * Car dealerships are open 24hrs. * Items are listed in order of sale, travelling South to North. * Note that items are sometimes duplicated between shops. * Two shops (Car and Music) are HIDDEN behind Police Booths on the Map. Move your cursor over them and around to pick up the icon underneath. They are marked as '..(Hidden)**' * If an area has a high crime rate the shops may be shut. Try getting the crime level down and shopping again. Please mail me if you find this guide hard to understand, I have attempted to make it as simple as possible. If you get a taxi here it will drop you off on the door step of the Pawn shop. (Just turn around and look up) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.5) Repair Shops (Spanner) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- * The nearest repair to your HQ is to the south. From the garage head LEFT onto Broadway, Then LEFT again onto West 48th Street, Then LEFT again down 8th Avenue, Take the third LEFT onto West 45th Street. Then into the repair shop on the right hand side. * For the quickest repair from anywhere. Get a taxi to the police booth in Midtown South (Precinct), Use the booth and pick your damaged vehicle, Now go to the repair shop on your radar. ============================================================================ 5) Combat Competition ============================================================================ * You are limited to only four additional forms. I recommend that you first buy the four un-armed forms. With these finish all the Fighting missions. Then pick your favourite form(s) from the seven available. * For the final 3rd circuit, you are told to throw the fights - DON'T Although it will give you a 'loss' after the bout after winning, you have won by beating everyone on your way to the top. * Each circuit increases the number of opponents by one. Circuit One is 3 Locations, 3 Matches, 1 at a time Circuit Two is 3 Locations, 3 Matches, 2 at a time Circuit Three is 3 Locations, 3 Matches, 3 at a time Final Circuit is 1 Location, 1 Match, 1 Opponent (with a sledgehammer) * Use the following chart / notes to compete successfully in the underground fights.
