You can get it during the the bloodmoon story. But I would insted recomend finding hircine's ring insted. If you get sanis lupinus it'll be gone in 3 days but you wont be able to complete the bloodmoon story.

Note) when you get to fight hircine choose the guile for aspect and then use the infinit health cheat, when you win you'll get one of the most powerfull wepons in the game. The spear of the hunter.
