When you start out look behind you there is a guy with a shotgun other then that use some of the codes if you need them....

This may help also. The Gun you have at the beginning has two fire modes. Full auto which is primary and a impact grenade round as a secondary ( BLACK button) all the other guns have this function from the exception of the rpg and the sniper rifle at the moment as that is as far as I have got so far ( around reputation level 5)

I advise you don't play this game if you can't do first mission, I'm sorry but that is rated in all the missions I did the easiest and most fun mission ever
