No you can't only if you get to the quest where you have to collect the souls of three hero
1.thunder but go to the arena to collect the soul's of the past ARENA CHAMPION'S SOUL
2.briarrose but go to the memorial garden in oakvale to collect your MOTHER'S SOUL
3.guildmaster but go to the graveyard cercle to collect NOSTRO'S SOUL
But if you buy fable II you will be able to do the crucible as many time as you want (its a good way to make a lots of strenght and general experience)

Yes you can get back with ll of your experince alright first go get the quest for it then go there till your done and then hero save and you keep all your experince and you get to go back in the Areana
