I have addressed this before, so don't worry, I was a little angry about the book thing for a while too.

For the doll things, there are two things you need to know. First of all, if you have all the dolls the teacher wants, he'll actually come and find you to beg you for all of them, so you probably don't have all of them. Here's the location of all of them:

Scythe: Snow Spire Village
Thunder: The Arena and Bowerstone North
Scarlet Robe: Knothole Glade
Whisper: Oakvale
Maze: Hook Coast
Twin Blade: Twin Blade's Camp
Briar Rose: Bowerstone South

NOTE: You do NOT need the hero doll of you.

The other thing to know is that all you get for this quest is the doll of Jack of Blades. It isn't a trophy, so you can't mount it on the wall or show off with it, it just looks cool.

Here's how to get them all if you don't know:

Scythe: Get a score of 10 or less in Coin Golf.
Maze: Get a score of 40 n Shove ha' Penny.
Briar Rose: Beat the card matching game. Then beat your high score. Easiest to do by leveling up the Slow Time Will spell. It works during the game, making it very easy to get an awesome score.
Scarlet Robe: Beat the card sorting game. Then beat your high score. Use the slow time spell here too.
Thunder: You can just buy this one. The easiest to get.
Whisper: Get a score of 10 or less in Coin Gold
Twin Blade: Get a great score at Spot the Addition. I'm not sure if Slow Time works here, but if it does, go for it.

The book is unrelated to that quest. If he looks at the book of spells, it means that you don't have any books that he wants, so just go find the books that you're missing to get the Wizard hat and the Silver Key.
