The titles sold by title vendors don't really mean anything, they are just names for your character. For example, if you chose piemaster (idk why), people would say things like "THERES PIEMASTER!!!!!". They are just names. Hope I Helped. PLEASE RATE lol
Ah well, they mean what the title says. Alright now, say for example that you decide to spend some of your precious money and you buy the title Arseface. Now it may take a while before the people in the game react to your title, but when you complete a lot of missions and gain a lot of prestige then people will call you by your title and either be happy if you chose a good nickname, or they will shudder in fear if you chose an evil sounding nickname. Now personally, I would not choose the tile of Arseface unless your character's face really does look that bad. You should buy a title that you want, and you will want to keep for a long time. I chose the Title Deathbringer. You can find two merchants selling titles. The first is in his shop outside of the guild, and the second is available out the Arena which you can only go to later on in the game.
Hope this helps.
They're like nicknames for your hero. Since your hero has no official "name" whatever your nickname is is what people will call you if they see you in the street. They also have significance in that if you sacrifice enough to the temple of Scorm, you will get the title of Necromancer, and if you donate enough to the Temple of Avo, you'll get the title Paladin. Mostly, it's just for show. I chose Saber, but just because I thought it was cool.
The titles at the vendors are just what the names available for your character. Whatever name you chose is the name people will know you buy, so chose wisely.
Also, most names on the list actually mean something. Like 'Avatar' means: the descent of a deity to the earth in an incarnate form or some manifest shape; the incarnation of a god. An evil name like 'Arseface' means, put loosely: buthead.
