Yes this is annoying took me ages to figure it out you need nearly every thing in strenght full and then you can take it out

Well actually you have to finish the game keep the sword of aeons and then max out physique, health and toughness also donate 2,000 to temple and then go rip the sword right out!!!

All you need to do is max out all your strength stats, then it shoudl come right out.

Well, sorry, but super spoiler's answer is completely bogus....you don't have to beat the game or donate money or have the sword of aeons....the easiest way to get the sword you want is to just max out your physical stats. You can get it sooner than that, but you have to not upgrade any physical stats, run out there as soon as you can (once you get the first archiologist quest you can warp out there), attempt to pull the sword, then increase your physique stats by 5, toughness stats by 3, and health stats by 2. After that, you can pull it.
I really don't recomend that though...its just annoying running around (especially in twinblade's camp) with so little health and toughness. If you do it, definately make use of the physical shield spell to help out and possible run past all the bandits at twinblade's camp.
