I think you only can connect your ds to the wii is by playing Pokemon revolution I think but I'm might sure i'll go find out. I hoped this helped.

Yes you can hook your ds up to your wii, you don't need to buy a cord or anything, it just hooks up when you click the connect to ds option on a game, however wii sports doesnt have that option, meaning you can hook your wii up to wii sports, I hope this helped.

There are a few games which allow this feature such as geometry wars and Pokemon revolution,but I am positive wii sports doesn't have that ability

You can only do it certain games it will give you an option. The only game I know that has this option is Pokemon Revolution, you can upload your Pokemon to the Wii.
