Help with Grab Mode

In this grab mode, you're supposed to be able to pick things up and move, delete, etc., but when I try to pick certain items up with A, nothing happens. For example, I tried to pick up a rock but I couldn't. I would greatly appreciate if anyone could tell me what the problem is or what I'm doing wrong OR if anyone just wants to tell me everything they know about "Grab Mode"-that'd be awesome too. Thanks Smile

From what I'm getting out of your post, the mistake you're making is a very common one. So don't feel stupid, I think I made the same mistake once. In grab mode, you cannot grab resources and foods. If other items are being problematic, it's because your annoying Sims have already decided to use the item, so you can't do anything with it.
