You can actually use one of the roof plans. It is easier that way than making a big ol' shelter

Collect plenty of hardwoos and sandalwood to make a shelter.There are some shelters that are easier to find what you need and a lot less material but you really need to make a bungalo stly shelter. Is harder and takes more time to make one of those but it pays off in the long one. Once you make one of these then you will get the plans to make a shower and a nice out house.You can not get a shower plan if you only make a small grass hut. To find the sandalwood you need for this you can find it in the west regine mostly but also in the valcano jungel areas. Best of Luck to ya.
