By Swordsman you mean Link then I may have an answer. Several times while playing this game Link would suddenly walk in a differnt direction and I had virtually no control. Both times the batteries in the controller were low and the other common thing was that I had just tried to do a spin attack. To regain control I had to unplug the nunchuck and plug it back in. I can't say for sure what the combination of movements were or if it was associated with low batteries but unpluging and reconnecting the nunchuck worked for me.
